Director of LLC “National Expert Center” Ksenia Lukyanets spoke about the importance of professional dialogue for the development of metrology, what practical value the company receives from participation in the Energy Club, and why measurement accuracy is strategically important for the energy industry today.

– Ms. Ksenia, how long has the National Expert Center been a member of the Energy Club and why did you decide to join the Club at one time?

– We joined the Energy Club in 2023, when we realized that modern energy is no longer just about technology, but also about constant professional dialogue. For a company working in the field of metrology and ensuring the reliability of measurements in the energy sector, it is important to be where future market changes, new requirements and prospects for the development of the industry are discussed.

– What practical value does participation in the Energy Club provide for your company?

– For us, the Energy Club is an opportunity to look at metrology more broadly than just the verification or calibration process. We better understand the challenges faced by distribution system operators, manufacturers, suppliers and large industrial consumers.

This is what allows us to develop services that meet real market needs, and not just current regulatory requirements. In addition, participation in the Club helps to find new partners and stay abreast of technological trends.

– What formats of Energy Club work are most useful for you?

– The most valuable are thematic meetings and professional discussions, where you can hear the views of various market participants – from the regulator to the equipment manufacturer.

This is especially important for metrology, because measurement accuracy is a shared responsibility of all participants in the energy market. It is in such discussions that an understanding of the future needs of the industry is formed.

– How, in your opinion, has the role of Energy Club changed in 10 years?

– During this time, Energy Club has become not just a professional community, but a platform that helps different segments of the energy sector speak the same language.

This is especially felt now, when the industry is simultaneously going through the challenges of war, infrastructure modernization and integration into the European energy space.

– Which Energy Club event was the most memorable?

– For us, the value lies not in a separate event, but in the atmosphere of open professional communication. It is during such meetings that partnerships are born, which later develop into joint projects and help solve practical issues of the energy market.

– Your wishes for the Energy Club for the next 10 years.

– I wish to remain an independent professional environment that unites experts, business and the state around a common goal – the development of a strong, technological and reliable Ukrainian energy sector.
