Kateryna Litvinko: "The greatest value of Energy Club is people"

In 2026, Energy Club celebrates its anniversary – 10 years of work, professional dialogue and the formation of an environment in which representatives of the energy market can not only exchange experience, but also jointly seek answers to the challenges of the industry. During this time, the Club has become a platform for open communication between business, energy companies, state institutions, experts and international partners.

Today, the importance of such a professional community is especially tangible. Ukrainian energy operates in conditions of war, systemic attacks on infrastructure, the need for rapid recovery and the simultaneous search for technologies that will ensure its sustainability and development. Therefore, professional contacts, the exchange of practical solutions and understanding of market trends are becoming not just an advantage, but an important component of the industry’s capabilities.

One of the companies that has been part of Energy Club for over five years is Phoenix Contact LLC – a Ukrainian subsidiary of the German Phoenix Contact, a global manufacturer of electrical components, automation systems and technological solutions. The company operates at the intersection of electrical engineering, automation and digital technologies, offering solutions for industry, traditional and renewable energy, infrastructure and other sectors.

The history of Phoenix Contact dates back more than a century. The company has been operating in Ukraine since 2005, adapting international expertise to the needs of the Ukrainian market and its modern challenges.

In an interview with the Energy Club media department, Kateryna Litvinko, Commercial Director of Phoenix Contact LLC, spoke about why the company joined the Energy Club more than five years ago.

– Our company joined the Energy Club more than five years ago. And it was absolutely natural, because globally Phoenix Contact has been in the energy sector for over 100 years, – noted Kateryna Litvinko. – It was through cooperation with the German energy company RWE that we began to develop our own engineering and grow as an industrial company. And, of course, it is very important for us to be part of a community that unites key players in the energy market of Ukraine. After all, it is here that there is an opportunity to exchange experience and understand market development trends.

– What practical value does participation in the Energy Club bring to your company?

– The greatest value of the Energy Club for us is people. Here you can directly communicate with heads of energy companies, experts, representatives of government agencies and business. The club allows you to keep your finger on the pulse of the industry, quickly receive up-to-date information about changes in the market, participate in important discussions and better understand the challenges facing the energy sector today.

– What formats of Energy Club work are most useful to you and why?

– It is difficult to single out something as more or less important. Forms and industry conferences allow you to get a strategic vision of market development. Closed meetings and working groups are especially useful, thanks to the substantive discussion of specific issues and the exchange of practical experience. Interviews provide an opportunity to learn about the real experience of colleagues from different segments of the energy market, better understand their approaches to solving challenges and be inspired by their ideas and experience.
I would like to separately note the educational direction of Energy Club. Training programs that go beyond purely technical topics are very useful. In particular, marketing training for energy companies helps to take a new look at communication with customers, brand development and promotion of expertise in the market.
Personally, for me, the Energy of Women’s Leadership forum is an extremely valuable initiative. For women leaders in the energy industry, this is not only a platform for professional communication, but also an opportunity to exchange experiences, find support, be inspired by the success stories of colleagues and jointly develop a culture of leadership. For me, this is one of the warmest and most useful formats of Energy Club activities.

– How, in your opinion, has the role of Energy Club changed for the energy market of Ukraine over the past 10 years?

– The role of Energy Club has become especially noticeable during the period of challenges that Ukrainian energy has faced in recent years. In conditions of war, attacks on energy infrastructure, the need to quickly restore facilities and find new technical solutions, high-quality and operational communication between all market participants has become extremely important. Energy Club has become a platform where equipment manufacturers, energy companies, investors, international partners and government institutions could exchange experiences, discuss current problems and find practical solutions.

– What are your wishes for Energy Club for the next 10 years?

– First of all, we wish Energy Club to maintain its energy, authority and continue to be a place whereideas, partnerships are formed and the prospects for the future of the energy sector of Ukraine are determined.

Ten years of Energy Club is not only an anniversary date, but also a history of trust, professional ties and joint work on the future of the Ukrainian energy sector. The history of the Club’s partners, in particular Phoenix Contact, shows how important today is the space where technological expertise meets real market needs.

The Ukrainian energy sector still has many difficult tasks ahead – from restoration and decentralization to the introduction of new technologies and attracting investments. And it is professional communities that are able to combine experience, knowledge and people that help turn these challenges into opportunities.

Energy Club has been creating such a space for ten years. And, it seems, the most important part of this story is still ahead.
