Pavlo Yavtushenko: “Energy Club is about becoming better together with the best”

10 years of Energy Club is the story of a community that managed to unite the energy market in times of greatest challenges. For many companies, the Club has become not only a platform for professional dialogue, but also an environment where partnerships are born, joint solutions are formed and trust is strengthened.

The company joined the Energy Club almost immediately after its creation – in the most difficult period for the Ukrainian energy industry. The founder and director of LLC “Energosupply Group” Pavlo Yavtushenko told why the issue of joining the Club was obvious to him, what practical value participation in the professional community provides, and why he considers the possibility of open communication to be the main advantage of Energy Club.

– “Energosupply Group” was founded in September 2022, a few months after the start of the full-scale invasion and aggression of the Russian Federation in Ukraine. Yes, that year was so unexpected for all of us for such events, but, as it turned out, it was only the first step on a long path of radical changes and challenges in the work of the entire energy sector of Ukraine, and sometimes even the existence of its individual sectors, – noted Pavlo Yavtushenko.

The Energy Club community, which was formed a few years before these events, first of all united a circle of like-minded people, experts in their field and enthusiasts who care about neither the business they are engaged in nor the fate of the industry as a whole. Therefore, taking into account my personal experience of working at my previous place – in a company that was also a member of the Energy Club – the question of being or not being with the Club did not arise at all. There was only a desire to join this community as soon as possible. Therefore, we have been together with the Energy Club for several years.

– Mr. Pavle, what practical value does participation in the Energy Club bring to your company?
– Representatives of the energy industry – both private business and state institutions: executive, legislative and regulatory spheres – participate in many Energy Club events.
Communication and exchange of views in order to solve problematic issues and develop plans for the future has always been one of the main tasks of the Energy Club. But since 2022, the community has become the most important platform for combining the efforts of participants, since many issues in the industry have systemic features and affect the activities and cooperation of many participants in the energy industry.

Electricity market issues are extremely important for us, since this is our main activity. Oddly enough, maintaining and maintaining contacts with colleagues has been supplemented by active acquaintances with foreign partners, since Ukraine’s movement in the European direction is becoming increasingly important and deep. Over the past two years, we have already participated in international events organized by Energy Club three times, and had the opportunity to meet live with colleagues from both Ukraine and foreign companies. Offline communication and discussions have a much greater effect and impact, since conversations usually go far beyond the topics of discussion.

– Which Energy Club formats are most useful to you and why?

– We try to participate in most Energy Club events, but the harsh current situation significantly affects the possibility of organizing live meetings. Therefore, online discussions have the most accessible format, and most importantly, they do not require a long preparation time compared to offline meetings. We are very grateful to the Energy Club staff for the analytical materials provided to community members, as well as for the invitation to participate in working groups on specific issues.

– How, in your opinion, has the role of Energy Club changed for the energy market of Ukraine over the past 10 years?

– Energy Club over the past 10 years of its activity and development – ​​namely, development, since it not only exists, but has become a leader among similar communities – has proven its objectivity, professionalism, and expert opinion formed by its participants.

– Is there an Energy Club event, discussion or initiative that your team particularly remembers?

– All events were special, as they are diverse in nature. At some we gained confidence in our assumptions, while at others we opened up a completely different perspective on our issue. The opportunity to communicate is the main achievement!

– What would you like to wish Energy Club for the next 10 years?

– I sincerely wish all Energy Club participants, the Club team itself and its president – ​​Mr. Andriy Kostrytsa – to be confident in the support of the community, partners and colleagues in the “workshop”, since only joint work and unity provide synergy and the necessary result!

In ten years, Energy Club has become much more than a professional club. It is a space where competition does not hinder cooperation, and open dialogue helps to find solutions for the entire industry. It is this kind of teamwork, mutual support and exchange of experience that remain the main value of the Club and the foundation of its development in the next decade.
