At a time when the aggressor is deliberately striking critical infrastructure, energy workers are making every effort to secure facilities and quickly eliminate the consequences of missile and artillery strikes. A new level of autonomous fire protection for critical infrastructure and businesses from the Slovak company
BlazeCut was presented in Kyiv on August 29.
EPPC SPETSZASHCHITA, an Energy Club member, an official representative of SVT Products GmbH (Germany), and an authorized distributor of BlazeCut (Slovakia), presented a technology capable of changing the logic of firefighting at strategic facilities, transforming it from a formality into an effective tool for protection. The fully autonomous fire suppression system requires no power supply or human intervention. It reacts instantly to fire and is an ideal solution for protecting electrical panels, server rooms, distribution boards, and other equipment in hard-to-reach places.
Denys Liubchenko, the founder and director of EPPC SPETSZASHCHITA, which has been operating in Ukraine since 2012 and has unique experience protecting energy facilities during a full-scale war, and his deputy Roman Sovgyria, presented the system. This system has proven its effectiveness in EU countries and is now available in Ukraine with certification, technical support, and a warranty. The event, organized in partnership with Energy Club, was attended by company executives, technical directors, security managers, and project managers in the fields of energy, transport, the defense industry, agriculture, construction, and IT.
It is worth noting that six months ago, EPPC SPETSZASHCHITA LLC presented the latest technologies for passive fire protection systems for cable structures and facilities. This demonstrates a qualified, systematic approach to technical solutions in the implementation of fire safety systems in construction.
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, representatives of EPPC SPETSZASHCHITA have visited various critical infrastructure facilities in Ukraine and found that fire safety regulations need to be changed, as they are still adapted for peacetime. Currently, missile strikes and other attacks cannot be predicted, and old automatic fire suppression systems do not work. Therefore, EPPC SPETSZASHCHITA has begun to focus on passive protection technologies and autonomous fire suppression systems that do not require electricity, human presence, or special maintenance teams.
The most effective solution was found in Europe—with the Slovak company BlazeCut. Its fire suppression system is already certified in Europe and Ukraine, is very simple, effective, and can be operated at temperatures from -40 to +60°C, even at military facilities. After conducting tests on Ukrainian enterprises, EPPC SPETSZASHCHITA confirmed that the system works reliably in 100% of cases, provides complete fire localization, and prevents re-ignition. There are currently no analogues to this product. The system activates at a temperature of 100-105°C, even with significant air humidity of up to 95%, so it can be used in engine compartments of ships and all types of vehicles, in electrical cabinets, battery compartments, etc.. It contains HFC-227ea gas, which removes heat from the source of ignition to the point where combustion becomes impossible and breaks the chemical chain by converting oxygen into other compounds that do not support combustion.
The innovative BlazeCut fire suppression system has an operational life of 15 years and a 5-year warranty, and it operates for a long time without maintenance. Upon delivery, EPPC SPETSZASHCHITA provides the buyer with installation and operation instructions. The universal unit is neutral to many chemical compounds. During the presentation, videos were shown demonstrating the effective operation of the fire suppression system at various facilities and under different conditions. Representatives of EPPC SPETSZASHCHITA answered questions from the audience.
