Vitaliy Nikolayenko: "Energy Club is a place where new ideas, partnerships and solutions are born"

Ten years is not just about time. It is about people, trust, partnerships and joint achievements. It is these stories that make up the path of Energy Club, which celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2026.

In honor of the anniversary, the Club continues a series of interviews with member companies that, together with it, formed the professional energy community of Ukraine. This time, Vitaly Nikolayenko, CEO of Voltage Group, a company that is part of Energy Club and implements complex projects in the field of renewable and traditional energy, shares his thoughts.

In an interview with the Energy Club media department, Vitaliy Nikolayenko spoke about the nine years of cooperation between Voltage Group and Energy Club, the importance of professional interaction for the implementation of energy projects, the role of the Club in consolidating market participants, especially in conditions of a full-scale war, and also shared his vision for the further development of the Ukrainian energy industry and the professional community.

– Voltage Group joined the Club because it saw in it a professional community of people who develop the energy infrastructure of Ukraine every day, – noted Vitaliy Nikolayenko. – It is important for us to be among those who not only discuss the future of the energy sector, but also implement projects that affect the developmentof the industryevery day. This is an opportunity to learn from each other, share practical experience and jointly seek solutions to the challenges facing the Ukrainian energy sector.

– What practical value does participation in the Energy Club provide for your company?

– The greatest value of the Energy Club is its people. This is where you can get honest professional feedback, up-to-date information about regulatory changes, new technologies and key trends in the energy market, find new partners and discuss complex issues with colleagues who face the same challenges.

For us, it is also an opportunity to be part of a professional dialogue between business, the state, investors and international partners. Modern energy projects require coordinated interaction between customers, EPC contractors, equipment manufacturers, system operators and state institutions. Therefore, a strong professional community becomes an important competitive advantage for the entire country.

– Which Energy Club formats are most useful for you: forums, closed meetings, online discussions, working groups, interviews, analytics? Why them?

– The forums, professional discussions and closed meetings are of the greatest value to me. It is the direct dialogue between market participants that allows you to understand real market trends faster, hear different points of view and find new opportunities for cooperation.

I also really appreciate analytical materials and interviews, because they help to see the market more deeply: not only events, but also causes, risks, opportunities and future growth points.

– How, in your opinion, has the role of Energy Club changed for the energy market of Ukraine over these 10 years?

– Over these ten years, Energy Club has become much more than an ordinary professional platform. Today it is one of the centers of industry dialogue, uniting equipment manufacturers, system operators, investors, engineering companies, international partners and state institutions.

This became especially noticeable during a full-scale war, when rapid information exchange, coordination and interaction between market participants became critically important. Energy Club helped to maintain professional ties and became a platform where new ideas, partnerships and solutions for the development of the Ukrainian energy sector are born.

– Is there an event, discussion or initiative of Energy Club that was especially memorable for your team?

– In addition to forums, seminars and highly specialized discussions on energy topics, the initiatives of sports events in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were especially valuable to me. Energy Club held several football tournaments, where participants made financial contributions, which were then directed to specific support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

I believe that it is very important now to demonstrate the unity of the energy community in supporting the Ukrainian defense forces. It is about values ​​and the spirit of indomitability.

– What would you like Energy Club to wish for the next 10 years?

– I wish to continue to be an independent professional platform trusted by the market. To remain open to new ideas, to attract international partners, to support young professionals and to continue to unite people around the development of the Ukrainian energy sector.

I would like us to remember this period in the next ten years as the time when it was thanks to such professional communities that we managed to create one of the most sustainable, flexible and technologically advanced energy systems in Europe.
