Energy Club is a community of energy professionals that brings together experts, analysts and company executives to exchange knowledge, experience and ideas. We are committed to developing the energy sector and supporting its participants in an environment of constant change. Energy Club regularly holds conferences, forums and seminars dedicated to current energy issues.
The tournament is held to provide charitable assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine and to meet representatives of energy companies in person, to communicate informally and share professional experience, to establish partnerships, and to unite for further cooperation and interaction.
The Energy Cup charity football tournament has become a symbol of the unity of Ukrainian energy workers in times of trial. Launched in 2022, it has become a traditional event that regularly brings together leaders of energy companies not only for the sake of sporting achievements, but also for a common goal – systemic assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
2022: The First Step to Unity
ENERGY CUP 2022 (I tournament) – October 29
The first tournament was the beginning of a great cause. Teams of leading energy companies met on the football field, united by the desire to help defenders. The funds raised during the competition were used to purchase equipment for the 5th separate assault regiment: 75 field beds and 16 stoves for heating. This proved that the energy workers are holding the front not only in the energy system.
2023: Not with words, but with deeds
ENERGY CUP Spring 2023 (II tournament) – May 27
The second tournament brought the charitable component to a new level. The energy workers focused on the high-tech needs of the front, raising funds for FPV drones for the K-2 battalion (54th OMB). The tournament became a platform where sport is converted into real fire support for our soldiers.
ENERGY CUP Fall 2023 (III tournament) — October 8
The fall tournament united the efforts of the community around saving lives. UAH 161,600 was raised for the Leleka-Ukraine Charity Foundation. These funds were used to purchase 25 evacuation stretchers and tactical medical equipment. Energy workers clearly realized: timely evacuation and medicine are lives saved.
2024: Scaling up aid
ENERGY CUP Spring 2024 (IV tournament) — May 25
The tournament finally consolidated the status of a tradition. Through joint efforts, it was possible to provide four units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with FPV drones at once. The scale of aid is growing along with the number of participants.
ENERGY CUP Fall 2024 (V tournament) — November 16
The fifth, anniversary tournament demonstrated the power of the energy community. The result is 19 FPV drones that have reinforced the 28th and 72nd separate mechanized brigades, the K-2 battalion, and the 10th Army Corps. The geography of assistance has expanded, and cooperation with the military has become systemic.
2025: Technologies of Victory
ENERGY CUP 2025 (VI tournament) — June 7
At the sixth tournament, energy professionals focused on technological solutions for combat control. In addition to FPV drones, critical repeaters, communication systems, and components for the K-2 battalion were purchased. This was an important stage: assistance became “smarter”, providing not only the impression of goals, but also a stable connection for pilots.
About winners and indomitable spirit
Six tournaments – one goal. The history of the Energy Cup is a path from an idea to a powerful volunteer movement. Teams, including multiple champions Vinnytsiaoblenergo JSC, as well as ZNPP, PJSC Centrenergo and many others, demonstrate true character both on the field and in volunteering. Hundreds of pieces of equipment, dozens of drones, communication and medical equipment are the contribution of energy workers to the approach of victory. Energy Cup is about concrete actions, not loud words.
The tournament is held according to a mixed system, which includes the following stages
Group stage: Teams are divided into several groups by drawing lots. In each group, teams play each other.
Quarterfinals: The top two teams from each group advance to the quarterfinals.
Semifinals: The winners of the quarterfinals meet in the semifinals.
Match for third place: The losing teams in the semifinals compete for third place.
Final: The winners of the semifinals play for the main prize of the tournament.
