The leading Ukrainian energy community Energy Club announces the holding of a key international event – “Forum: Restoration and Investments in the Energy Sector of Ukraine”, which will take place on July 11 in Rome, Italy. The event, organized with the support of SPP DEVELOPMENT UKRAINE, is designed to become a strategic bridge between the needs of the Ukrainian energy sector, which has suffered unprecedented destruction, and the capabilities of European investors and technology partners.
In the context of full-scale war and targeted attacks on energy infrastructure, the forum aims to create a platform for direct, substantive dialogue. The main tasks are to objectively assess the situation, determine priorities and present specific investment projects that will contribute not only to the reconstruction, but also to the technological modernization of the Ukrainian energy sector.
The forum program includes two in-depth panel discussions and a presentation of investment-ready projects.
Both key forum discussions, covering both urgent recovery needs and a strategic vision for the future, will be moderated by Mykhailo Bno-Ayriyan, Special Representative for Trade and Chair of the European Integration Committee at the Federation of Employers of Ukraine.
Panel Discussion 1: “Recovering Ukraine’s Energy Sector: Priorities, Challenges and Urgent Investments”
In this session, speakers will analyze the current state of the energy system, discuss the needs for urgent repairs, key priorities for getting through the winter, and the practical implementation of the “Build Back Better” principle through decentralization and protection technologies. Investment opportunities in gas production and UGS use, as well as changes in the regulatory framework, will be presented separately.
Speakers: Artem Petrenko (Association of Gas Extracting Companies of Ukraine), Yuriy Katsion (Oschadbank JSC).
Panel Discussion 2: “The Future of Ukraine’s Energy Sector: Green Transition, Innovation and Integration into the EU”
This session will be dedicated to the long-term vision and integration of Ukraine into the European green course. At it, speakers will consider investment-attractive renewable energy projects, the potential for biomethane production, plans for the transformation of the gas transmission system for integration with the European Hydrogen Corridor, as well as pilot projects in the areas of Smart Grids and energy storage.
Speakers: Andriy Konechenkov (Ukrainian Wind Energy Association), Vladyslav Sokolovsky (Solar Energy Association of Ukraine), Oleksa Konenko (Galnaftogaz Concern), Oleksandr Podprugin (Notus Energy).
Presentation of Investment Projects: From Idea to Implementation
