Energy Club has officially approached the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Ministry of Energy with a proposal to include a representative of the organization in the working groups preparing Ukraine’s negotiating positions during talks with the European Union.
The business association has proposed the candidacy of Maksym Nemchynov, Vice President of Energy Club and former Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine (2020-2021), to participate in the working group on Trans-European Networks and the working group on energy.
“The representation of Energy Club experts in official negotiating groups will ensure a professional approach to the formation of Ukraine’s energy policy in the context of European integration. This is especially important for strengthening energy security and restoring the country’s energy infrastructure,” said Energy Club President Andriy Kostrytsia.
“Energy Club’s participation in working groups is important. Our expertise will help ensure the harmonization of Ukrainian energy legislation with European legislation, which will facilitate the attraction of investments and technologies for the restoration and modernization of Ukraine’s energy system. We are ready to actively cooperate with the government and European partners to achieve strategic goals in the energy sector,” emphasized Maksym Nemchynov.
It is worth recalling that Energy Club consistently works on implementing its policy aimed at strengthening Ukraine’s position as an investment-attractive state and its role in ensuring Europe’s energy security.
The inclusion of Club representatives in negotiation processes with the European Union will be an important step in implementing European standards for the functioning of energy markets in Ukraine and will contribute to the integration of the Ukrainian energy system into the European one. Under conditions of war challenges and large-scale destruction of energy infrastructure, cooperation with European partners is of particular importance for ensuring the country’s energy resilience.
