On the occasion of Energy Club’s 10th anniversary, member companies are sharing stories of cooperation, talking about the value of the professional community and its role in the development of Ukraine’s energy market.
The Panorama Group of Companies, which specializes in the design and construction of solar power plants, modern street lighting systems, and the implementation of comprehensive energy efficiency projects, joined Energy Club in early 2025. Since then, Panorama has become an active participant in professional discussions, training programs, and industry events.
Vitalii Shevchenko, CEO of the Panorama Group of Companies and Chairman of the Board of the NGO “Ukrainian Association of Energy Service Companies,” spoke about why the company decided to become part of Energy Club, what practical value it gains from participating in the professional community, which Club initiatives have been most useful for the team, and how he sees the association developing over the next decade.
— Mr. Vitalii, why did Panorama Group decide to join Energy Club?
— Our main motivation was the desire to be closer to the professional community: to communicate more with market colleagues, receive up-to-date information directly from industry leaders, and develop together with the market. It’s important for us not to move separately, but to be part of a strong professional community.
— What practical value does participation in Energy Club bring to Panorama?
— Energy Club gives us several practical advantages at once. We take part in specialized training programs and webinars, which helps us continuously improve the team’s expertise. At the same time, the Club is an effective platform for professional communication and networking. This is exactly where you can exchange experience with colleagues, find new contacts, and be part of important industry discussions.
— Which Energy Club formats are most useful for you?
— Offline events in Kyiv are the most valuable for us, since it’s face-to-face communication that allows us to build strong professional ties. Highly specialized events dedicated to specific topics are also very useful. They give us the opportunity to dig deeper into particular issues and get practical information that isn’t always available from open sources.
— In your opinion, how has Energy Club’s role in Ukraine’s energy market changed over these 10 years?
— We can’t assess the Club’s entire ten-year journey, since we only joined last year. But even in this short time, we’ve seen how important a role Energy Club plays today. It’s a strong platform for uniting market participants, professional communication, and consolidating the industry’s positions. The Club has become a platform that helps convey the market’s shared position and influence important decisions.
— Which Energy Club event, discussion, or initiative has your team remembered most?
— The series of discussions on battery energy storage systems (BESS) was especially valuable for us. At that time, we were actively entering this segment and getting to grips with the specifics of the market. The greatest value of these meetings was that we received not only theoretical information but also got to hear the practical experience of manufacturers, integrators, representatives of distribution system operators, and other experts. It was extremely useful to understand the challenges they face, hear different points of view, and see the topic through the eyes of every side of the market. Discussions like these allow you to get up to speed in a new field much faster and make more informed decisions.
— Your wishes for Energy Club for the next 10 years.
— We wish Energy Club further growth, even greater influence, and new opportunities for its members. We would like to see more formats of interaction with top officials from the state and the market, more opportunities to jointly influence the industry’s development and shape better conditions for all participants in the energy sector. And, of course, we wish the Club continued growth, uniting even more professional companies.
— In one sentence: Energy Club for the Panorama Group of Companies is…
— Energy Club is a community that supports, unites, and helps you grow.
Energy Club continues to unite companies that not only grow their own businesses but also strive to jointly shape the future of Ukraine’s energy sector. It is precisely through this kind of interaction, open dialogue, and the pooling of professional expertise that a strong energy community is being formed — one capable of responding to today’s challenges, creating new opportunities for the industry’s development, and moving confidently forward even in the most difficult times.
