The circle of partners of the Ukrainian Energy Investment Forum in Rome has been expanded by a significant player. The event organized by Energy Club on July 11 was joined by the company “ECO-OPTIMA – a flagship in the field of renewable energy in Ukraine.
Cooperation with “ECO-OPTIMA” brings to the fore a key priority of the Forum – practical steps towards the reconstruction of the energy sector based on renewable sources. The history of this company is strong evidence that Ukrainian business is able to implement large infrastructure projects and attract financing from leading international institutions.
“The joining of “ECO-OPTIMA” is great news for all participants of our forum,” said Andriy Kostrytsia, President of Energy Club. — Their story is an example for the entire market. Back in 2012, they proved that a private Ukrainian company can receive a loan from the EBRD and implement such a complex project as the construction of a wind farm. This practical experience, gained “in the fields”, is today the most valuable asset. It proves to foreign partners that it is possible and necessary to invest in Ukrainian renewable energy projects, because there are reliable and professional teams here.
“EKO-OPTIMA” is the largest group of companies in Western Ukraine engaged in renewable energy. Having started implementing projects in 2011, today the group owns a portfolio of 18 solar and wind power plants with a total capacity of 216.8 MW, of which 88.5 MW is wind generation. The team continues to actively develop new investment projects.
The Ukrainian Energy Investment Forum will be held “on the sidelines” of the Ukraine Recovery Conference. The event aims to bring together Ukrainian stakeholders, international investors and technology partners to discuss and launch specific energy projects.
