Friends, colleagues, members of the Energy Club community!
I want to share important news: our three-month educational course, “EnergoStart: Training for the Future,” has successfully concluded. It was an intensive period, and we are glad we were able to implement this program, especially during such a challenging time for all of us.
Ukraine’s energy sector today faces enormous challenges. Russian aggression has caused severe damage to our infrastructure. Damaged power plants, substations, and networks – all require not only repair but also modernization. We are not just restoring what was destroyed; we strive to “rebuild better” – making our energy sector more modern, resilient, and efficient, aligning with European standards. That is why qualified specialists are needed now more than ever. People who understand modern technologies, are knowledgeable in energy efficiency matters, and are ready to work on complex recovery projects.
The “EnergoStart” course was our response to this need. We aimed to provide participants with the practical knowledge that will help them find their place in Ukraine’s renewed energy sector and contribute to its rebuilding. Over three months, participants attended 50 lectures.
In my view, the main feature of the course was our lecturers. These were not theorists, but experienced practitioners working daily in Ukraine’s energy sector. They shared their real-world experience, discussing challenges and successful solutions, which made the training as close to reality as possible. We aimed for graduates to acquire a specific set of skills that are in demand in the market.
I want to express sincere gratitude to our partners – the project “Promotion of Energy Efficiency and Implementation of the EU Energy Efficiency Directive in Ukraine.” This project is implemented by the German federal company GIZ on behalf of the German and Swiss governments. Without their significant support, organizing and conducting “EnergoStart” would have been considerably more difficult. We value this cooperation and our shared vision regarding the importance of developing energy efficiency and training personnel for Ukraine.
A big thank you also goes to our practitioner-lecturers. Thank you for finding the time and energy in your demanding schedules to share your knowledge and experience with the participants. Your willingness to train the next generation of energy professionals is extremely valuable.
And, of course, congratulations to our graduates! Your desire to learn and develop, especially now, is admirable. You have completed an intensive program, demonstrating interest and motivation. We saw representatives from various professions and regions among you, which is wonderful, as this very diversity is needed for the sector’s development. We hope the knowledge gained during the course will serve as a great start or a boost to your careers in the energy sector. Your skills are needed by the country. It is you who will participate in restoring infrastructure, implementing energy-efficient solutions, developing renewable energy, and ensuring the stable operation of our energy system.
Despite all the difficulties, we at Energy Club believe in the future of Ukraine’s energy sector. The successful completion of “EnergoStart” gives us optimism. We plan to continue developing educational projects and supporting the training of specialists for the industry.
Thank you to everyone who was part of “EnergoStart”! Let’s keep working.
