PJSC “Zaporizhzhia Abrasive Plant” (ZAP) has become another corporate client choosing D.TRADING to supply Guarantees of Origin for electricity. The agreement involves the sale of 25,000 MWh of certified electricity from renewable sources in the second quarter of 2025.
ZAP is the only producer of grinding materials in Ukraine and one of the largest abrasive manufacturers in Eastern Europe. The signing of this contract demonstrates the company’s consistent efforts towards reducing its carbon footprint and adapting to new requirements of global markets.
The Guarantees of Origin provided by D.TRADING enable companies to confirm their consumption of electricity from renewable energy sources (RES) and enhance the transparency of their ESG reporting. This is particularly relevant amidst the gradual implementation of the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) in the EU.
“We welcome the commitment of Ukrainian producers to become more sustainable and competitive. The contract with ZAP is one of the largest by volume we have concluded to date, and it confirms the trust in our solutions regarding Guarantees of Origin,” noted Roman Bekuzarov, Deputy Commercial Director of D.TRADING.
This agreement shows that Ukrainian industry is increasingly participating in the energy transformation. D.TRADING, in turn, continues to expand partnerships in the field of decarbonization, offering clients tools that align with European practices and standards.
Previously, D.TRADING signed contracts for the sale of Guarantees of Origin with MHP and Knauf Group.
