On June 7th, the charity football tournament Energy Cup – Spring 2025 will unite the energy community of Ukraine for a primary goal – to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The funds raised will be used to purchase critically important equipment and technical means for the legendary K-2 unit, which in turn will enable them to perform combat tasks effectively and in a timely manner, and will preserve the lives and health of personnel.
Teams from leading energy enterprises and companies in Ukraine will meet on the football field for active sports leisure. Communication in an informal setting will be an excellent opportunity for new acquaintances, exchange of experience, and future cooperation.
The Energy Cup charity football tournament is being held for the sixth time, which testifies to the responsibility, unity, and dedication of energy workers. This year, 12 teams are participating in the competition, including “Vinnytsiaoblenergo,” whose members are like-minded individuals who love football and strive to help the AFU.
For “Vinnytsiaoblenergo,” charity is an ongoing activity, and the company’s employees promote a healthy lifestyle and prove by their own example that sport unites, said Yuriy Kasich, General Director of JSC “Vinnytsiaoblenergo.”
– Yuriy Petrovych, the company you head is a regular participant in the Energy Cup charity tournaments. It’s commendable that “Vinnytsiaoblenergo” supports such initiatives from the Energy Club. How else do you help our defenders?
– The trade union of JSC “Vinnytsiaoblenergo” supports charitable events, as well as employees of the company who are directly performing combat tasks. We help demobilized employees undergo quality rehabilitation and recovery in comfortable conditions. In addition, we provide necessary charitable assistance to military units – vehicles, EW (Electronic Warfare) systems, charging stations, computer equipment, and much more. Unfortunately, there have been cases of our employees dying. We provide moral and material support to the families of the fallen.
– How did the formation process of the “Vinnytsiaoblenergo” team go? Are there selection criteria, or is it mainly on a voluntary basis?
– Exclusively on a voluntary basis. Our team consists of absolutely different employees, both from management and leading specialists and representatives of structural units, and what unites us all is our love for football. We constantly train, developing team and individual skills. The squad is periodically updated, which allows us to raise the team’s level.
– What do you expect from the tournament? Your wishes to the participating teams and the organizers of the competition.
– First and foremost, we aim to help our Armed Forces of Ukraine and promote a healthy lifestyle. We expect communication and exchange of experience with leading energy specialists of Ukraine, cohesion and strengthening in an informal setting not only of working but also of friendly relations within the team, and physical and team development. I am confident: we will once again prove that sport unites.
I sincerely wish the participants a good mood, bright positive emotions, fair competition, and new experiences, and that everyone finishes the tournament without injuries.

The Energy Cup is a story of unity and support. Initiated in 2022, the tournament has become a good tradition, demonstrating the high level of corporate social responsibility of Ukraine’s energy business.
The VI Charity Football Tournament Energy Cup – Spring 2025 is not only a sports competition but also an important platform for charitable assistance to the AFU, communication, and establishing partnerships for future cooperation in the energy sector.
