Yuriy Boyko, a member of the Naglyadovaya for the sake of PJSC “NEK “Ukrenergo”, today gave an inaugural lecture as part of the new Energy Club online course “Communications and Interactions in Energy: strategies for PR, marketing, GR and lobbying in Ukraine”. Drawing on his rich evidence of work in the energy sector, standing at the planting of the Vikonuvach of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, Mr. Boyko presented an overview of the production line of the energy sector of Ukraine, the key points, caused by military actions, and strategic directions and updated development.
In his presentation “The energy sector of Ukraine: the production line, the outbreak of war, prospects for development,” the lecturer focused on the legacy of military aggression for the country’s generating efforts. It was determined that a significant number of different types of power plants were wasted or destroyed, and some of the facilities were abandoned in the temporarily occupied territories.
Pan Boyko described in detail the large-scale complaints that faced the operator of the Ukrenergo transmission system. There was talk about the significant breakdown of equipment as a result of numerous attacks on the energy system, the need for unprecedentedly rapid expansionary work and countering cyber threats.
The lecture also contained information about the legacy for residents – problems with electricity supply and the ongoing decline in the level of electricity supply in the region.
An important part of the speech was the topic of strategic integration of the Ukrainian energy system into the European ENTSO-E network, which opened up new opportunities for cross-border trade in electricity.
In addition, the presentation included such aspects as the dynamics of the development of modern energy, the peculiarities of the functioning of the electricity market of Ukraine, financial trends in the sector and the mechanism of payment special bindings for the protection of everyday companions.
The information that was shared by a member of Naglyadova for the sake of PJSC “NEC “Ukrenergo” is especially relevant for course participants – representatives of PR, marketing, GR and lobbying from Energy Club member companies. The course aims to advance her professional competence.
Yuri Boyka’s career began in 1995. He has covered a wide range of important positions in the energy sector, being the protector of the Minister of Energy, as well as having signed the obligations of the Minister of Energy of Ukraine, coordinating the development of the electrical energy complex in the market. Mr. Boyko provides specialized engineering and management coverage.
