Tomorrow, February 5, the course “Distributed Generation: A Step Towards Ukraine’s Energy Independence” will start, organized by Energy Club specifically for representatives of territorial communities.
For three months, course participants will delve into the topic of distributed generation, its importance for Ukraine’s energy security and independence, and will also gain practical skills for implementing projects in their communities.
The training is designed for a wide audience, in particular:
- Chairmen and secretaries of village, town and city councils
- Specialists of the departments of economic development, housing and energy
- Investors interested in distributed generation projects
- Public activists and environmentalists
The following issues will be considered within the course:
- Basics of distributed generation: what is it and why is it important for Ukraine?
- Types of distributed generation: solar, wind, biogas plants and others. Prospects for the development of renewable energy in wartime and post-war periods.
- Advantages of distributed generation for territorial communities: energy independence, reduced electricity costs, job creation.
- Social and environmental aspects of distributed generation development.
- Practical tools for the development and implementation of distributed generation projects.
- Legal and economic aspects of projects.
- Interaction with other stakeholders and attracting investments.
The classes will be conducted by leading industry experts.
Energy Club aims to provide participants with the maximum knowledge and tools for the successful implementation of distributed generation projects, contributing to strengthening Ukraine’s energy independence.
