Phoenix Contact has become a partner of the Energy Club forum “From Project to Megawatt: Engineering of New Energy of Ukraine”, which will be held on June 18, 2026 in Kyiv.
Energy Club thanks Phoenix Contact for the trust and support of the professional platform for technical specialists in the energy sector.
The forum “From Project to Megawatt: Engineering of New Energy of Ukraine” is dedicated to practical issues of creating new energy facilities: from technical concept, design and connection to networks to construction, commissioning and further operation of real megawatts.
Phoenix Contact is an international company with over a century of history, specializing in the production of electrical components, automation systems, interface technology, controllers, solutions for electrical cabinets, industrial connections, data transmission and power.
The Ukrainian subsidiary Phoenix Contact LLC has been operating in Ukraine since 2005 and has been a member of the Energy Club since 2021.
Phoenix Contact solutions are used in industry, traditional and renewable energy, infrastructure projects, automation systems, control, monitoring and connection of complex equipment.
It is precisely such technologies that are critically important today for the new energy sector of Ukraine, where not only generation sources are of key importance, but also the quality of engineering solutions, reliability of components, automation, secure connection, digital management and the ability of the infrastructure to operate in conditions of increased risks.
Today, Ukrainian energy is based not only on regulation, financing or equipment. It relies on engineers – people who transform strategies into technical specifications, design solutions, connections, construction, operation and real megawatts.
That is why Energy Club is creating this forum as a practical platform for technical specialists who directly design, build, modernize and operate energy infrastructure.
The forum program includes two key panels:
During the first panel, participants will discuss what currently hinders the launch of new energy projects the most: technical network constraints, connection rules, equipment shortages, approvals or errors at the design stage.
Special attention will be paid to how the approach to technical conditions should change, how to correctly assess the real profiles of generation, consumption and BESS, as well as what errors most often occur at the stage of choosing a connection point, master plan, placement of equipment and engineering networks.
The second panel will be devoted to technologies that today provide a practical effect for energy sustainability: BESS, cogeneration, gas generation, solar power plants, wind power plants, heat pumps and hybrid solutions.
Participants will talk about how to correctly determine the needs of a specific facility, how to calculate a technical and economic model, where BESS has the greatest value, what errors occur when choosing power, capacity, inverters, EMS, protection and fire safety systems.
Also in focus will be the issue of service and operational model for new distributed generation: spare parts, repair, monitoring, SCADA, cybersecurity, personnel and responsibility for equipment availability.
Phoenix Contact’s partnership with the forum emphasizes the importance of quality engineering, reliable components, automation and a systems approach to building a new energy infrastructure.
For Ukraine, which is simultaneously restoring damaged energy facilities, developing distributed generation, integrating energy storage and preparing for a new market architecture, the role of such technology partners is particularly important.
