In the face of constant challenges for the power system, the issue of providing it with equipment is more acute than ever. Every day, Ukrainian power engineers need transformers, high-voltage equipment, cable products and a host of other components for repairs and restoration. We face a strategic choice: to depend on imports, waiting for deliveries for months, or to develop our own production facilities?
Energy Club invites you to an online discussion dedicated to supporting a domestic manufacturer of power equipment. We want to honestly discuss what prevents effective cooperation and what needs to be done so that Ukrainian factories operate at full capacity and energy companies receive quality products on time. Supporting a national manufacturer is not only a matter of patriotism. It is about jobs, taxes to the Ukrainian budget, fast logistics and, most importantly, our energy sustainability and security.
The following are invited to participate:
- Heads of Ukrainian power equipment manufacturers.
- Representatives of power companies (generators, distribution and transmission system operators).
- Heads of procurement departments of industrial enterprises and municipalities.
- Representatives of government structures and financial institutions.
Key questions for discussion:
- How to find a balance today between the urgent need for equipment “here and now”, which often forces us to choose imports, and the long-term goal of developing our own, Ukrainian production?
- What is the real state and potential of Ukrainian power equipment production? What are factories ready to produce in the required volumes, and what are the main challenges (financial, personnel, raw materials) that hinder their development?
- What are the key criteria for purchasing equipment today — price, quality, delivery times, or service? How competitive are Ukrainian products in these indicators compared to foreign counterparts?
- What could be the decisive factor for customers to give preference to a Ukrainian manufacturer? What specific steps on the part of manufacturers (guarantees, service) and what conditions on the part of customers (long-term contracts, advances) could change the situation?
- What role should the state play in supporting a national manufacturer? How effective is the “Made in Ukraine” localization policy?
- Is there distrust or prejudice against Ukrainian products? If so, how to overcome it and establish an effective dialogue and partnership between the manufacturer and the customer?
- What guarantees of quality, reliability and long-term service do customers need to confidently choose Ukrainian equipment, even if its price is not the lowest on the market?
