Energy Club is organizing a closed online meeting for its members to discuss a critical legal issue arising from the Ruling of the Grand Chamber of the Supreme Court dated January 24, 2024, in case No. 922/2321/22. This ruling establishes a 10% limit on the total price increase for goods under a procurement contract, which creates significant risks for the stable energy supply of the public sector, especially under martial law and price volatility in the electricity market.
During the meeting, we plan to:
- Analyze in detail the consequences of the Grand Chamber of the Supreme Court’s Ruling for electricity market participants.
- Discuss potential solutions to the problem and ways to minimize negative consequences.
- Prepare a collective appeal on behalf of Energy Club members to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Committees on Legal Policy and on Energy, Housing and Utilities Services to protect the interests of the energy sector.
- Your active participation will help us formulate an effective response strategy to this legal issue.
