Reliable water supply and sanitation are critically important aspects of community life, especially in the fall-winter period and in times of military aggression. The preparedness of local governments (LGs) for critical situations is a key condition for ensuring the smooth functioning of these systems.
Purpose of the event:
- Discussion of problematic issues of ensuring stable energy supply to water supply and wastewater facilities during the heating season, in particular, the readiness of local governments for critical situations.
- Identification and formulation of recommendations for local governments to increase their preparedness for possible risks (in particular, shelling and power outages).
- Creating a space for dialogue where local governments can discuss their expectations, challenges and necessary support.
