A seminar "Implementation of heat pump technology" was held in Kyiv

On November 5, 2024, the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted a seminar “Implementation of Heat Pump Technology”, organized by Mayekawa, Energy Club and the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The event was dedicated to the presentation of Japanese industrial heat pump technologies and their potential for the recovery of Ukraine. Seminar participants had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the advantages and examples of the use of heat pumps in both Japan and Ukraine.

Among the key speakers of the seminar were:

• Hennadiy Chizhykov, President of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry;
• Yuji Tokita, Deputy Head of Mission, Counselor – Envoy of the Embassy of Japan in Ukraine;
• Oksana Osmachko, Representative of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine;
• Maryna Denisyuk, Deputy Minister of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine;
• Ganna Zamazeyeva, Head of the State Agency for Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine;
• Satoshi Sugimoto, Senior Representative (in Ukraine and Moldova) of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA);
• Shunji Torihara, Director, Senior Executive Director MAYEKAWA MFG. CO., LTD.;
• Maxim Nemchinov, Vice President Energy Club;
• Hidehiro Kitayama, Manager of Industrial Thermal Energy Application Division, Business Solutions Division MAYEKAWA MFG. CO., LTD.;
• Yuriy Litvynyuk, President of NES GROUP LLC.

The following topics were discussed during the seminar:

• Directions of assistance from the Government of Japan through JICA
• Implementation of heat pump technology and application examples in Japan;
• Implementation of heat pump technology and application examples in Ukraine;
• Mayekawa Initiatives in Ukraine.

The seminar became a platform for the exchange of experience and knowledge between Japanese and Ukrainian specialists in the field of energy efficiency.

Mayekawa is supported by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Japan within the framework of the “Support Project for the Restoration of Agricultural Productivity in Ukraine”.
