“Light Always Defeats Darkness” – and this victory is brought closer by those who create reliable, modern energy solutions. SPP Development Ukraine has made its contribution to this struggle by launching a new solar power plant in the Kyiv region, as reported by “Ekonomichna Pravda”.
From Plans to Action: Restoring Energy in Deoccupied Territories
This power plant is built in a community that suffered significantly during the Russian occupation of the Kyiv region. After liberation, hundreds of people were left without stable electricity and water supply, forced to seek ways to restore normal life.
The project of this energy facility was developed before February 2022, but the full-scale invasion put it on pause. However, the company’s management decided to go forward despite all challenges.
“The station project was developed before the war, and we decided to implement it right now, in a place where it is most needed,” says Roman Petruchenko, co-founder of the SPP Development Ukraine group.
Technical Solutions and Efficiency Forecast
The construction of the new solar power plant was completed, and in January 2025, the facility already produced its first electricity. The station is equipped with modern monocrystalline N-Type TOPCon photovoltaic modules, which provide the highest generation efficiency.
Moreover, the use of double glass and anti-PID protection guarantees the longevity of generation, even under challenging weather conditions.
The company pays special attention to generation forecasting: a system for predicting electricity supply volumes is used for assessment and planning, which meets Ukrainian regulatory requirements and ensures supply stability.
SPP Development Ukraine is currently building new generating capacities in the region. The commissioning of stations is planned for May 2025, which will contribute to increasing energy supply for communities.

Energy Restoration – Key to Ukraine’s Security
Massive strikes on critical infrastructure and blackouts have become a new reality for Ukraine. Restoring traditional generation takes a long time, and in some cases, attacked facilities cannot be rebuilt.
That is why developing an extensive network of renewable energy sources is a strategic solution. Building new facilities is not only about energy supply stability but also about creating new jobs.
“Today, we are not just building renewable energy, but creating a reliable foundation for Ukraine’s future energy security,” notes Nadiya Petruchenko, co-founder of SPP Development Ukraine.
Ukraine’s Future – Renewable Energy
The current recovery period is the best opportunity for energy transformation. Ukraine has all the conditions for developing solar, wind, and hybrid generation, and the business community is already actively implementing new solutions.
The example of SPP Development Ukraine demonstrates that even in difficult conditions, it is possible to build a modern, independent energy system.
