“Solar Steelconstruction” LLC is a Ukrainian manufacturing and engineering company specializing in the design, production, and installation of steel structures for solar energy. Operating under the SOLARsk brand since 2012, the company has systematized its expertise in the production of roll-formed steel profiles and has become one of the market leaders in Eastern Europe in the field of mounting systems for solar modules and power plants. Its solutions—ranging from individual engineering to turnkey project implementation—ensure the optimal balance of strength, weight, and cost, take into account the specifics of construction sites, and contribute to the development of modern energy infrastructure and energy storage systems in Ukraine and abroad.
Yevhen Yaremenko, CEO of “Solar Steelconstruction” LLC, told the Energy Club media department about modern solar module mounting technologies, the company’s key achievements, the implementation of large-scale energy projects, the prospects of agrivoltaics, the role of business in strengthening the resilience of Ukraine’s energy system, and cooperation with the Club.
– “Solar Steelconstruction” provides comprehensive solutions for business in the solar energy sector: we design, build, and maintain turnkey solar power plants (SPP), including battery energy storage systems (BESS). We provide high-quality solutions for large-scale projects that allow for maximum efficiency and reliability, – Yevhen Yaremenko emphasized. – Over 13 years of operation, we have shipped 5 GW of mounting systems to 30 countries and have a production capacity of 2 GW/year. Our staff numbers over 600 specialists, including branches and installation teams. We are certified according to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, SA 8000, and EN 1090 FPC standards, and all products are CE marked.
– Mr. Yaremenko, which projects or solutions implemented recently do you consider the most successful?
– There are several. First and foremost, it is our first own 1 MW tracker. SOLARsk implemented a full-scale commercial project based on its own tracker technology for the first time. This became an important stage in product development and confirmed the tracker’s readiness for serial implementation in Ukraine and abroad.
An Energy Storage System (BESS) was commissioned. The facility operates without a solar plant as an independent unit of electricity infrastructure. The BESS includes 11 Sungrow Power Stack ST455kWh-110kW-4h modules. Key characteristics:
The project was implemented in 9 months. The connection was made through a 0.4/10 kV transformer substation of Ukrainian manufacture.
Ground-mounted SPP “Dibrova”, 12.5 MW. SPP “Dibrova” is an example of rapid and organized construction of a large ground station. The client set an ambitious task: building the station in just 3.5 months, including the development of the steel structure design, production, logistics, and installation.
– What does the company plan to focus on in the next few years?
– We plan to focus our efforts on developing and implementing business models for investors who seek to receive passive income from the sale of energy generated by solar panels. This model is not only eco-friendly and modern but also ensures a quick return on investment, which we calculate accurately and transparently for each project. We are building an advanced future where solar energy not only provides power but also becomes a reliable source of stable income for business and investors.
We also see potential in the development of agrivoltaic systems, which allow for additional electricity generation without changing the designated purpose of the land, while positively influencing the crops grown under such systems.
– “Solar Steelconstruction” has joined Ukraine’s largest business community, Energy Club. What was the determining factor in this decision?
– We joined the Energy Club because it opened up an opportunity for closer cooperation with industry leaders and other companies working in the renewable energy sector. It is an excellent platform for exchanging experience, gaining insights into new technologies and market trends, as well as finding potential partners for joint projects.
– Did you have previous contacts or joint projects with Club members? If so, what was that experience like?
– We have already worked with several Energy Club member companies. Together, we implemented projects where our structures helped significantly reduce installation costs and ensure the stable operation of the stations.
– What practical benefits do you expect to receive from membership in the Energy Club?
– We see the Energy Club not just as a platform for expanding contacts, but as a true mission to popularize green energy and support sustainable development. For us, this is a unique opportunity to share our many years of experience and innovative developments, as well as to provide valuable insights for all participants.
Together with the Energy Club, we strive not only to promote the development of solar energy but also to actively participate in the reconstruction of Ukraine, supporting projects that shape a new energy future. Our goal is to help as many people and businesses as possible find opportunities for growth and invest in profitable and environmentally clean projects, because we believe that green technologies will be the foundation for prosperity in the future.
– What problems or issues in the company’s work or the industry in general do you hope to discuss or solve within the Club?
– We hope to discuss issues regarding the restoration of Ukraine’s energy system, specifically through the introduction of modern technologies—such as tracker systems for solar stations that increase energy production efficiency. We plan to pay special attention to solutions for the agricultural sector, parking lots, and BESS, which allow for the effective storage and use of renewable energy.
The integration of solar stations with BESS is key to ensuring energy security and stability, which is especially important for Ukraine’s economic recovery. We plan to actively participate in Club events, particularly in working groups related to innovations in solar energy, as well as in the exchange of experience regarding new mounting technologies. We are also ready to initiate joint projects.
– Exchange of experience, search for partners, a joint position on regulatory issues, analytics—which formats of cooperation are most useful for you?
– The most useful formats for us are the exchange of experience and the search for partners for joint projects, as well as analytics.
– How do you see the role of business—and your company in particular—in increasing energy resilience in current conditions?
– Our company plays a key role in strengthening Ukraine’s energy resilience by offering comprehensive solutions for the construction of solar power plants and business support. We are focused on implementing innovative approaches that allow for the efficient use of renewable energy sources. In the context of the country’s recovery, we are ready to act as partners in major projects, as well as to develop new investment markets through electricity sales. Our task is to contribute to economic stability and the development of a sustainable energy future for Ukraine.
– What joint actions or initiatives of the Energy Club could be most effective for the industry right now?
– For the industry, the most useful initiatives would be industry research, as well as initiatives to stimulate state funding and tax incentives for large projects in the solar energy sector. In addition, it is important to actively inform the public about new opportunities in the energy market, particularly regarding BESS and the sale of electricity.
– What would you like to say or wish to your Energy Club colleagues and potential partners?
– Peace! We are ready to join all Club initiatives and believe that joint work will help create new opportunities for the development of solar energy in Ukraine and beyond.
