Energy Club is an association of professionals, where each company contributes to the common cause and strengthens the common voice in professional dialogue and solving important tasks of the present and future of the energy industry.
Recently, the Club was joined by ENERGY SUPPLY GROUP LLC – a reliable supplier of electricity and natural gas, which has been dynamically developing since 2022. The company’s priority is reliability and fulfillment of obligations to consumers under any conditions. ENERGY SUPPLY GROUP cooperates exclusively with highly qualified specialists in the field of electricity, offering favorable prices and flexible conditions.
We talk about the formation of the company, its achievements, strategic goals and benefits of membership in the Energy Club with the director of LLC “GRUPA ENERGOPOSTACHANNYA” Pavel Yavtushenko.
– The company you lead is quite young, but has already managed to gain authority in the energy market. Surely, there are already achievements that we should be proud of. Tell us about its main activities “GRUPA ENERGOPOSTACHANNYA”, key areas of work, strategic goals for the near future.
– The company LLC “GRUPA ENERGOPOSTACHANNYA” (hereinafter referred to as the Company) has a main type of activity – the supply of electricity and natural gas to consumers. At the same time, we are actively engaged in trading activities in the domestic market of Ukraine. Our company is an active participant in exchange trading both on the Ukrainian Energy Exchange and in other market segments.
Despite the fact that “GRUPA ENERGOPOSTACHANNYA” was created in September 2022 – in a difficult period for both the country as a whole and the energy market in particular – it still managed to quickly establish active work and take a firm position among market participants. All this is due to the fact that the core of the Company is made up of specialists and experts who gained their first experience in other similar companies and were able to make their own contribution to the overall formation of “GRUPA ENERGOPOSTACHANNYA”.
At the same time, we had a certain number of young specialists who were just as selflessly taking their first steps with the Company.
The most important achievement of the first three years for us is the unconditional fulfillment of contracts with partners, primarily state-owned generation companies, in particular NNEGC Energoatom, to which we fully fulfilled our obligations, despite the difficult times and conditions on the domestic market. We actively help our consumers implement self-sufficiency projects (installation of solar power plants, etc.) and sell surplus electricity.
Among the strategic goals, of course, is participation in the general trend – the installation of both generation systems and energy storage systems. This is probably the most important challenge for us. That is why we are actively participating in various events in this direction, including our plan to join the Energy Club forum “Balancing the European Energy System: Challenges, Solutions and Prospects” to be held in Vienna on October 9.
– Have you had previous experience of cooperation with the Energy Club? What was the main incentive for your company to join the Club and what advantages do you see in the community, what challenges do you hope to overcome by participating in the professional community?
– Participation in the Energy Club has always been desirable for us, given the previous experience of our team members in other companies.But, probably, it was the coincidence of circumstances – the organization of a forum with a focus on the activities of our Company at the moment – that became the starting point for the decisions made. By the way, there was no question of participation or non-participation at all, it was just a matter of time and circumstances, because in our daily routine we always postpone other strategically important issues, especially now, in difficult times for the whole country. But we believe in the best and do everything so that not only our faith, but also the faith of our partners, especially foreign ones, is unshakable, because we strive for development and independence, stability and efficiency in our work.
As for the advantages of an industry association and cooperation with colleagues, this is not a question at all, but an axiom! Because only the exchange of opinions, experience, problems makes it possible to find optimal solutions and convey our opinion to both regulatory bodies and state institutions. Changes in work and life have always been, and now the reaction to changes must be many times faster, because time requires the adoption of instant reactions to changes. Unfortunately, sometimes these changes occur without taking into account the interests, or rather, the specifics of the work of market participants, because when making decisions, state institutions primarily protect the interests of state institutions (budgetary ones). However, suppliers,as market participants, these are private structures whose interests are also aimed at ensuring and satisfying the needs of state institutions and organizations. For example, the painful issue of revising the procedure for changing the price of energy resources (electricity, gas, etc.) in contracts with budgetary institutions. It has been discussed for several years, probably since the beginning of the natural gas and electricity market, but it became extremely acute during a full-scale war. And it is the consolidating role of the Energy Club that is a vivid example of uniting thoughts and efforts to solve a common issue. This approach is impressive. It also applies to other issues that are the main ones in our work and in further development.
– What areas of cooperation within the Club are the most priority for you in the context of your vision of the future of the Ukrainian energy market in 5-10 years?
– It is the various online and offline events under the auspices of the Club that provide an opportunity to find partners, exchange ideas, learn from experience, and most importantly, become stronger together with a large family of energy professionals. In addition, we believe that the Energy Club should continue to hold events with the participation of representatives of the authorities – both legislative and executive – in order to stimulate the development of electricity storage systems. This applies to preferential import of equipment, state support in lending, etc.
Of course, the last five years, more than three of which we have been living and working under martial law and attacks on the energy structure, have been difficult for the energy industry and market participants. But still, the development of the industry has not stopped, and in some areas it has even begun to develop rapidly. I believe that the next 5-10 years will be the most influential and will significantly strengthen the energy industry.
– What would you like to wish other Energy Club members and potential partners?
– I would like to wish all members of the Energy Club – both those who have been in the community for a long time and those who have recently joined, and especially those who are still hesitant – not to stand aside from solving problems, since their public discussion and coverage allows for understanding and solutions to be found. It is not always possible immediately or quickly, but this is the most effective way. There is always strength in unity!
