i3 Engineering, a Ukrainian innovation company specializing in Smart Home and building automation, has joined the Energy Club business community. The company develops controllers, software, and mobile applications for managing lighting, climate, security, and energy efficiency.

In an interview with the Energy Club Media Department, Oleh Ostroverkh discussed the company’s journey from engineering development to creating its own Smart Home and energy management ecosystem, highlighted successful projects in Ukraine and abroad, and noted the international recognition of their products. He also outlined i3 Engineering’s strategic plans for the coming years, their vision for energy management development, and the role of automation in enhancing the resilience of Ukraine’s energy sector. Furthermore, he explained why the company joined Energy Club and the opportunities they foresee through cooperation with the business community.
— Mr. Ostroverkh, i3 Engineering’s portfolio includes many successful projects recognized internationally. Which achievements is the company particularly proud of?
— We have created our own Smart Home and building automation ecosystem, which includes the Atom series of hardware controllers. Our solutions are integrated into more than 3,000 apartments and private homes, as well as the agricultural and industrial sectors. Our ecosystems power:
Our i3 Energy Flow intelligent energy management system is a solution for automating the consumption, storage, and use of energy for enterprises. The system allows for load optimization, battery and inverter control, and efficient energy resource management.

— What does the company plan to focus on in the next 1–3 years?
— Like any business, we strive to scale in both Ukrainian and international markets. We plan to expand our presence in the residential, commercial, and industrial segments and are working on attracting new partners and integrators in EU countries and other markets.
Equally important is innovation in energy management. Priority goals include developing i3 Energy Flow for optimized energy consumption, storage, and management, implementing energy efficiency solutions in residential and business segments, and increasing the number of integrations within the energy market.
We are constantly working to strengthen our reputation, expand our client and project portfolio, increase brand awareness through industry awards and exhibitions, and obtain additional international certifications. Our “maximum program” for today is automating new business centers, hotels, gas stations, and agricultural enterprises, and increasing the number of integrated devices to over 10,000.
— Why did i3 Engineering decide to join Energy Club? What was the decisive factor?
— We are joining Energy Club to exchange experience in energy management, gain access to innovative solutions and new partnerships, and contribute to the development of energy-efficient technologies in Ukraine and beyond.
— What advantages do you see in membership within this industry community, especially under current conditions?
— Positioning i3 Engineering as a technological partner. For many companies, Energy Club is a source of technological solutions. Membership allows us to present i3 as a key Ukrainian developer capable of implementing new solutions in the energy sector. This will create new sales channels and partnerships.
— What problems or challenges facing your company or the industry as a whole do you hope to overcome or mitigate through your participation in the Club?
— Energy Club provides broad opportunities for finding new partners and integrators, exchanging experience on energy management and consumption optimization, accessing innovative technologies, and strengthening the company’s expert status. We look forward to developing joint projects and collective initiatives to improve energy efficiency in the residential and commercial sectors.
— How exactly does i3 Engineering plan to participate in Energy Club’s activities?
— We see Energy Club as a platform for joint initiatives that can accelerate the recovery and modernization of Ukrainian energy. In our view, Club members can jointly implement projects for the development of distributed generation, energy efficiency, intelligent load management, and the creation of new standards in energy management.
— Which areas of cooperation within the Club are most a priority for you?
— Our priorities include exchanging experience in energy management, finding partners for joint projects, accessing industry analytics, and seeking investment for new solutions.
— How do you see the role of business — and your company in particular — in increasing the resilience of Ukraine’s energy sector, specifically through cooperation in Energy Club?
— We see i3 Engineering’s role as providing this market with intelligent platforms and controllers to optimize consumption, manage inverters, and create “smart” energy systems.
— In your opinion, what joint initiatives could Energy Club and its members implement to support, restore, and develop Ukrainian energy?
— We plan to actively engage with the Club by participating in discussions, joint initiatives, industry events, and projects aimed at strengthening the resilience and energy efficiency of the Ukrainian energy system.
— What is your vision for the future of the Ukrainian energy market in 5–10 years?
— In 5–10 years, the Ukrainian energy market will become more decentralized, digital, and flexible, with widespread use of storage systems, microgrids, and automation.
— What would you like to wish other Energy Club members and potential partners?
— We wish all Energy Club members openness to cooperation, bold joint projects, and solutions that will help Ukraine transition faster to a modern, flexible, and resilient energy system.
