Huawei Ukraine Donates Equipment for Energy Resilience in Regions

27.02.2025

Amidst challenging times for Ukraine, Huawei Ukraine is actively contributing to the energy independence of municipal enterprises and critical infrastructure. The charitable initiative to provide equipment began in July 2024 and concluded in January of this year. The Kharkiv region received four commercial three-phase inverters Sun2000-30KTL-M3, and the Lviv region received one commercial inverter SUN2000-30KTL-M3.

During periods of constant power outages and blackouts, when the country’s energy situation becomes increasingly unstable, hybrid inverters are a key element for ensuring stable energy supply even during the longest outages for private households and commercial enterprises. A hybrid inverter is capable of working with various power sources, which provides more flexible management of energy flows in the system.

The Kharkiv region received two SUN2000-5K-MAP0 hybrid inverters with a capacity of 5 kW and two SUN2000-10K-MAP0 hybrid inverters with a capacity of 10 kW, as well as three LUNA2000-10-S0 energy storage units with a capacity of 10 kWh. The Lviv and Ivano-Frankivsk regions each received one SUN2000-5K-MAP0 hybrid inverter with a capacity of 5 kW, one SUN2000-10K-MAP0 hybrid inverter with a capacity of 10 kW, and three LUNA2000-10-S0 energy storage units with a capacity of 10 kWh.

Thanks to the ultra-fast switching of the SmartGuard-63A-T0 backup power device (20 ms) in case of a grid outage, the systems provide uninterrupted power supply on all three phases with the ability to control consumers. Huawei LUNA2000 batteries have 4-level protection, and all inverters are equipped with arc fault circuit interrupters (AFCI), which ensures safety when using the equipment in any conditions.
