Part I: General Provisions
1.1. Introduction
1.1.1. These Provisions establish a single procedure and rules for holding the Charity Football Tournament among energy companies of Ukraine “ENERGY CUP” (hereinafter referred to as the Tournament), financial support, conditions for forming teams and holding competitions, determining winners, etc.
1.1.2. The organizer of the Charity Football Tournament among energy companies of Ukraine “ENERGY CUP” is the Energy Club.
1.2. Purpose and objectives
1.2.1 The Tournament is held with the aim of charitable assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine and personal acquaintance of representatives of energy companies, informal communication and exchange of professional experience, establishment of partnership relations, unification for further cooperation and interaction.
1.2.2 The objective of the Tournament is charitable assistance to the Armed Forces.
1.3. Financial obligations
1.3.1 All expenses related to travel, accommodation, and meals for their players are borne by the companies that delegate their representatives to participate in the Tournament.
1.3.2 Participating companies must transfer an organizational fee of UAH 30,000 to the account specified by the organizer.
1.3.3. The organizer provides: rental of playing fields, refereeing.
1.3.4. After the end of the Tournament, the organizer reports to the participants on the use of organizational fees.
Part II: Competition Regulations
2.1. Tournament Participants
2.1.1 Teams of companies that are members of the Energy Club participate in the event.
2.1.2 By agreement, other companies in the energy industry of Ukraine may participate in the ENERGY CUP Tournament.
2.1.4 The team representative is the person to whom the powers of the team representative are delegated.
2.2. Tournament conditions
2.2.1 The tournament is held according to a mixed system and consists of a group stage, quarterfinals, semifinals, match for 3rd place and final.
2.2.2 During the draw, the teams participating in the Tournament are divided into groups. The draw for the Championship is held in advance in absentia. The entire procedure is broadcast in real time online.
2.2.3 Team composition: 5 field players and a goalkeeper. Up to 15 players are entered into the application protocol for the game.
2.2.4 Ball No. 4.
2.2.5 The teams’ places in the groups are determined by the highest sum of points scored in all matches. For a win, a team is awarded 3 points, for a draw – 1 point, for a loss – 0.
2.2.6 In the event of an equal number of points for two or more teams, their places are determined as follows:
2.2.6. In the event of a draw in the semi-finals and finals, the winner is determined by a series of 3 post-match six-meter kicks, and then 1 penalty kick until the decisive goal is scored according to the rules of the game (without extra time).
2.2.7. Duration of games:
2.2.8. Matches are refereed in accordance with the rules approved by FIFA.
2.2.9. A player who is sent off is disqualified until the end of the match, and the team plays for 2 minutes in a minority or until a goal is conceded.
2.2.10. A player who has received two warnings in one game is sent off, but is allowed to play in the next game. A player who is sent off for a single serious foul (“direct” red card) misses the next game.
2.2.11. Each team must have a single uniform. The use of protective shields is mandatory! The player’s shirt must have a number that corresponds to the one listed behind the player in the referee’s report. When replacing the goalkeeper with a field player, a sleeve is allowed. The sleeve must not match the color of the uniform of the playing teams, including the goalkeeper of the opposing team. If the teams that meet have uniforms of the same color, the team that is first in the calendar also changes its uniform.
2.2.12. Teams that did not show up for the game without good reason or left the field before the final whistle was blown will be considered a defeat (0:5), and the opposing team will be considered a victory (5:0).
2.3. Awards
2.3.1. All participating teams will be awarded with participation awards. In addition, awards will be given in categories such as: “Best Goalkeeper”, “Best Defender”, “Best Scorer”, “Best Player”, “Audience Choice Award”, etc.
Part III: Time and place of the event
3.1. The charity football tournament among energy companies of Ukraine “ENERGY CUP” will be held on November 16, 2024.
Venue: Ukraine, Kyiv.
3.2. The draw for the Tournament will be held on November 11, 2024 at 12:00 online. The entire procedure will be broadcast live on the ZOOM platform and will be published on the Energy Club’s website.
3.3. The charity football tournament among energy companies of Ukraine “ENERGY CUP” is held according to a mixed system, which consists of a group stage (in 4 groups), quarterfinals, semifinals, match for 3rd place and final. The two best teams from each group advance to the quarterfinals, which meet each other within groups A and D (1st and 2nd quarterfinals); B and C, respectively (3rd and 4th quarterfinals). In the semifinals, the winner of the 1st quarterfinal will play the winner of the 3rd, in the second semifinal the winners of the 2nd and 4th pairs will meet. The final part is the match for 3rd place and the final.
