Pre-Sales Engineer (IT infrastructure)

To strengthen its sales team, MODUS X is recruiting a Consultant with expertise in IT infrastructure who will lead the pre-sales process within the scope of his expertise. You will identify the business needs of existing and potential clients, and in collaboration with other specialists, offer solutions through the provision of turnkey IT services and comprehensive outsourcing of IT processes.

Scope of professional responsibilities:

  • Leads the technological part of the sales process after qualification of opportunities;
  • Identifies customer business needs and converts them into a basic technical task;
  • Forms teams for project evaluation and involves specialists with different expertise;
  • Performs the role of a technological consultant for the client and takes an active part in the sales process;
  • Manages price offer discussions and argues the business value of solutions;
  • Involves architects, developers and project managers in project evaluation;
  • Develops and prepares technical and functional requirements for projects;
  • Collects and processes all necessary approvals for each stage of solution evaluation;
  • Actively cooperates with solution providers, initiates new partnerships and negotiates terms of cooperation;
  • Develops training materials and conducts training for the sales team of cybersecurity products.

Required expertise:

  • Higher technical education (preferred);
  • Experience working as a Pre-Sales Engineer in the IT or telecom industry;
  • Deep understanding of modern approaches to building infrastructure, including cloud services, virtualization, containerization, network solutions, information security, etc.;
  • Experience implementing complex infrastructure solutions on-premise and in the cloud;
  • Ability to analyze the client’s business needs and offer optimal IT infrastructure solutions;
  • Ability to identify the client’s business needs and requirements and transform them into technical solutions;
  • Ability to communicate the value of infrastructure projects business language and argue their advantages;
  • Ability to identify and assess potential risks;
  • Experience in pre-sales and sales processes will be an advantage;
  • Excellent analytical skills, ability to work with large amounts of data;
  • Skills in analyzing market trends, competition and customer needs to adapt pre-sales strategies;
  • Skills in preparing and conducting presentations, experience in public speaking will be an advantage;
  • The ability to negotiate, work with objections and solve complex issues will be an advantage.
