Energy Club is a community of energy professionals that brings together experts, analysts and company executives to exchange knowledge, experience and ideas. We are committed to developing the energy sector and supporting its participants in an environment of constant change. Energy Club regularly holds conferences, forums and seminars dedicated to current energy issues.

Energy Club invites you to participate in the final offline meeting of the special project “Corporate Governance in Energy: New Rules of Responsibility, Trust, and Control”.

For three months, as part of the special project, Energy Club is conducting a series of interviews and expert discussions with representatives of energy companies, members of supervisory boards, lawyers, consultants, representatives of the public sector and corporate governance specialists. The final meeting will be a platform for summing up this cycle and an open professional conversation about how a modern governance model in the energy sector of Ukraine should work.

The focus of the discussion is not on theoretical principles, but on practical issues: how the state should implement the rights of the owner without manual intervention in the operational activities of companies; what should be the real role of supervisory boards; how to assess their effectiveness; where is the line between control and political pressure; how to ensure the accountability of management and governing bodies; and what exactly shapes the trust of international financial institutions, donors and investors in Ukrainian energy companies.

The special focus of the meeting is the changes of 2025–2026: updating the supervisory boards in key state-owned energy companies, a new stage of implementing OECD standards, strengthening the requirements for transparency, compliance and accountability of management bodies.

The final discussion will be built around the positions of experts who have already participated in the special project and given interviews to Energy Club. These interviews will become the basis for discussing common conclusions, differences in approaches and practical recommendations for the energy market.
