About the Company

PJSC “Odeskabel” is the largest manufacturer of cable and wire products in Ukraine. The plant’s product range includes over 10,000 product sizes. These include: medium-voltage power cables, wires for power lines, cables for solar power plants, electrical, assembly, installation wires, connecting, control and signal-blocking cords, fiber-optic cables, LAN cables, telephone and digital xDSL communication cables, as well as radio frequency cables, heating cables for electric heating and de-icing systems, and others.

History

Odessa Cable Plant was established in April 1949 in accordance with the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the USSR. In the 60s, the specialization of the Odeskabel plant in the manufacture of cables for city telephone networks was established.

PJSC “Odeskabel” is one of the leaders in the production in accordance with world standards:
– telephone communication cables;
– fiber-optic cables;
– LAN cables.

The products of PJSC “Odeskabel” are certified by the Ministry of Communications of Ukraine, have passed certification testing in the forms of “Lucent Technologies” (Netherlands) and “Sumitomo” (Japan). In 1998, the Company began working in the ISO-9002 standard system and received a certificate in the ISO-9002 standard in 1999. The presence of this certificate allowed to increase the volume of exports of products to other countries of the world. In 2000, the construction of a workshop for the production of LAN cables for computer networks and corporate systems began, which was put into operation in 2001. In 2002, the Company implemented the ISO 9001 version 2000 quality system. In 2003, a new workshop for the production of copper wire rod – the main material for the production of copper communication cables – was put into operation at the enterprise. In 2005, a workshop for the production of intra-facility fiber-optic cable was put into operation. In 2007, a new workshop for the production of power cables with a voltage of up to 1 kV was put into operation. In 2008, a new direction was launched – the production of heating cables. The modernization and increase in production capacities for the production of LAN cables was also carried out. In 2009, capacities for the production of power copper and aluminum cables up to 10 kV were put into operation. In 2010, additional capacities were installed to double the production of digital and LAN cables. In 2011, the production of power cables up to 35 kV was mastered. A modern testing station for power cables up to 35 kV was certified by the State Standard of Ukraine and put into operation. In 2012, projects were implemented for the production of heating sections of the WOKS trade mark, intended for underfloor heating, anti-icing systems, snow melting, soil heating and pipe heating. 2012-2019 — increasing speed. The next stages of modernization of the production capacities of the LAN and VOK workshops have been completed (modern production lines have been installed and existing ones have been improved).

This is just a brief list of what the plant has managed to achieve over the 70 years of its existence. And judging by how the company looks today, you understand that the history of PJSC “Odeskabel” does not end… Everything is just beginning!
