STEKS Products for Energy, Transport, and Industry: Fast, Efficient, Modern

18.02.2026

On February 19, Energy Freedom by Energy Club brings together experts and manufacturers to discuss technological solutions that enhance the resilience of Ukrainian power grids.

Nataliia Marchenko, Director of LLC “Production Association “STEKS”, will share how the company’s products help rapidly restore infrastructure, ensure physical network protection, and integrate digital solutions for efficient management.

In an exclusive interview with the Energy Club media department, Ms. Marchenko discussed the primary demands of today’s energy sector—speed, product availability, and equipment modernization—as well as mobile electrotechnical laboratories for rapid network repair. She also highlighted key trends such as decentralization, network mobility, and the transition from overhead lines to underground cables.

– Ms. Marchenko, your enterprise serves several critical sectors—energy, utilities, transport, and industry. What requests from the energy industry currently define the primary vector of your product development?

– Unfortunately, many enterprises in the energy, utility, and transport sectors currently face significant damage to their infrastructure. Therefore, the primary requests regarding our products are their accessibility and availability in stock for the prompt elimination of emergency situations.

– Which solutions or products offered by your company can most effectively contribute to the physical resilience of networks and the rapid recovery of infrastructure after damage?

– I believe the most effective solution for infrastructure restoration is a comprehensive mobile electrotechnical laboratory in its various modifications. It provides a full range of services, starting from locating cable line damage to testing cables after repairs have been completed.

– To what extent must equipment manufacturers today account for the trends of digitalization and Smart Grid—and how is this reflected in your developments or approaches to product modernization?

– Our production is constantly evolving, and we are, of course, carrying out modernization and improvements. We are developing devices that can be controlled not only directly from the unit itself but also via connections to external “control gadgets” (phones, tablets, laptops) through Wi-Fi and other interfaces.

– Given the wartime challenges and the need to increase the reliability of critical infrastructure, what technological or organizational solutions have proven most effective for your company?

– The most effective solution in today’s conditions is the fact that our production continues to operate despite daily challenges and threats.

– What trends in the development of materials, equipment, or production approaches do you consider decisive for ensuring the resilience of Ukrainian networks in the coming years?

– In my opinion, the decisive factors are, firstly, network mobility and decentralization (i.e., the installation of mobile substations, transformers, etc.), and secondly, the transition from high-voltage overhead lines to underground cable systems where possible.

The resilience of Ukrainian power grids today is determined not only by technological innovation but also by the ability of manufacturers to respond quickly to the challenges of the time. The products of LLC “Production Association “STEKS”—mobile laboratories and digital solutions—demonstrate how a combination of speed, innovation, and modern management approaches helps maintain the reliability of critical infrastructure even in difficult conditions.

This once again proves that the Ukrainian energy sector continues to move forward, and a key role in this is played by enterprises that not only modernize their products but also adapt them to today’s realities and the needs of society.
