In our conversation with Oleksii Semenysty, Director of Proektelektromerezhbud LLC, we discuss the challenges of modern energy, new technologies and the engineering of the future, the importance of technical competence, and approaches to implementing complex industrial projects.
– Please introduce your company.
– PEMB Engineering is an engineering company specializing in the implementation of energy-efficient solutions for industrial enterprises. Our key areas are the development and execution of energy efficiency projects, the implementation of automation systems, and the supply and integration of drive technology. We operate at the intersection of engineering and energy management, helping businesses reduce costs, increase reliability, and enhance competitiveness. We also execute EPC contracts.
– What are the company’s proudest achievements?
– Our greatest pride is the projects we have implemented at leading Ukrainian enterprises in the metallurgical industry. Thanks to our solutions, clients achieve significant energy savings (up to 30%) and reductions in CO₂ emissions. This year, we are implementing an energy-saving project using generating equipment for one of the largest enterprises in Ukraine. We are signing a long-term agreement with one of the leading turbine manufacturers in Germany. This equipment has its own advantages in energy-saving technologies. Other achievements include partnerships with leading global equipment manufacturers and high client loyalty.
– PEMB is developing rapidly. What are your strategic goals for the next 1–3 years?
– Our goals are to expand our portfolio of energy-efficient projects, develop our industrial automation and digitalization services, and enter new markets within Ukraine. We also plan to pay special attention to integrating solutions that use AI.
– What was the main incentive for joining the Energy Club?
– It is important for us to stay informed about market changes, legislation, and new technologies. Membership in the Club is an opportunity to gain relevant knowledge, exchange experience, and identify promising directions for development.
– What are your expectations from this membership?
– We expect to expand our network of professional contacts, exchange experience with other companies and industry experts, access market analytics, and form new business partnerships.
– What do you see as the advantages of membership in the Energy Club?
– What challenges do you hope to overcome through participation in the community?
– Key challenges include an unstable regulatory environment, difficulty in forecasting energy market needs, and limited access to reliable analytics. Cooperation within the Club will allow us to better navigate these issues and adapt to new conditions.
– What Club activities are you ready to join?
– We are open to participating in working groups on energy efficiency, automation, and RES. We plan to be active participants in industry events, forums, and technical panels, sharing case studies and our experience from completed projects.
– Please name the company’s priority areas for cooperation.
– PEMB successfully implements projects in Ukraine and abroad. How do you assess the company’s role in developing Ukraine’s energy system?
– Our role is to provide innovative and practical solutions to reduce energy consumption and increase the efficiency and flexibility of industrial enterprises. Through our collaboration with the Club, we aim to make these solutions more accessible to a wider range of Ukrainian companies.
– What joint initiatives between PEMB and the Energy Club could be beneficial for the industry?
– What are your wishes for other members of the Energy Club.
– I wish for a commitment to partnership, openness to change, and a collective movement toward Ukraine’s energy independence. Together, we can achieve more than we can alone. We are convinced that an engineering approach, practical experience, and cross-industry cooperation are the keys to building a strong energy system.
