02.09.2025

Energy Club, as the largest business community in Ukraine’s energy sector, has officially nominated its Vice President, Valerii Bezus, to the National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission (NEURC) for inclusion in the working group on corruption risk assessment.

This initiative by the Regulator is aimed at preparing the NEURC Anti-Corruption Program for 2026-2028. Energy Club fully supports this step and considers it crucial for building trust between the market and state institutions.

In its official address to the Commission, Energy Club emphasized that creating transparent, understandable, and corruption-free rules is the foundation for developing a stable and competitive energy market.

“We are convinced that involving representatives of the business community in this process is critically important for the objective identification and minimization of potential corruption risks in regulatory and administrative processes,” stated the letter signed by Energy Club President Andrii Kostrytsia.

Valerii Bezus has many years of experience in leadership positions within the energy industry, possesses a deep understanding of the specifics of the electricity and natural gas markets, and is well-versed in regulatory policy. His participation in the working group will allow for the presentation of professional expertise and an objective perspective from market participants.

Energy Club is confident that such cooperation will contribute to the development of a practical and effective Anti-Corruption Program that will serve the interests of both the state and the entire energy sector of Ukraine.
