Jan is a distinguished authority on energy law and market design. His career is marked by a unique blend of regulatory expertise and practical implementation. Notably, he spent 14 years on the Board of Directors of the European Federation of Energy Traders (EFET) and has been a key consultant for governments across Eurasia on energy unbundling and trade regulation.

For the Ukrainian context, his role is pivotal: between 2020 and 2024, he headed the EU-funded project focused on creating a modern commodity market infrastructure in Ukraine.
