For us, the addition of new companies is always more than just expanding the list of members. It is a testament to the fact that the Ukrainian energy market is alive, developing, and uniting to find common solutions.
It is especially gratifying when “new generation traders” join the Club. From Kyrylo’s interview for our website, it is clear that AK TRADE GROUP is not just about buying and selling electricity. This is a team that works with more complex market instruments: forming a balancing group, developing the aggregation of small producers, including from renewable sources, and paying attention to gas-fired distributed generation. This is precisely the approach the market needs today.
The company’s ambitions—RES integration, creating a portfolio of small-scale generation, and investing in new projects—are fully in line with the priorities we discuss at the Energy Club. Kyrylo speaks openly about the challenges—high risks in the balancing market and the difficulties of integrating “green” generation.
