Vice-President of Energy Club Ivan Hryhoruk took part in the project and spoke about the heroism of Ukrainian specialists: “I am sure that this is a unique experience for Ukraine, which will go down in world history. When training new specialists for the industry, the experience of our energy workers in responding to threats, restoring and maintaining the energy system under massive shelling will be considered. Previously, in peacetime, it was difficult to work under voltage, but now we have learned to work both under voltage and during shelling.”
The film examines the issue of a possible blackout in Ukraine in the face of constant attacks on energy facilities. Commenting on this threat, Ivan Hryhoruk emphasized: “A global blackout is virtually impossible in Ukraine. There may be local outages, mass outages of consumers. The power deficit in the power system can be compensated for by thermal power plants, hydroelectric power plants, emergency assistance, etc. Neither in Kherson, nor in Kharkiv, nor in other front-line regions during the massive shelling was there a total blackout. There were significant outages, the system operator services and regional energy companies organized backup power supply schemes for consumers.”
Thanks to the courage and professionalism of energy workers, Ukraine continues to fight for its independence. Watch the film “Quantum of Light” to learn more about their heroic work.
