What will allow us to survive in war conditions?

04.11.2024

Constant missile attacks by Russian criminals on our energy system have put us on the verge of survival. The shortage of generating capacity, the poor condition of the networks after the shelling, the constant risk of losing part of the gas production and other factors force us to look for ways to provide electricity and heat to both the population and industry.

There are several options. This includes increasing electricity imports, assistance with equipment for repairs from our foreign partners, and the construction of new distributed generation. Energy efficiency and energy saving are also important factors for survival.

Heat pumps – an effective and environmentally friendly solution

The use of energy-efficient equipment, such as heat pumps, is especially relevant. Our partners are ready to supply us with modern models that will help save energy resources.

Two factors coincide here – assistance and energy efficiency. Heat pumps from the Japanese company MAYEKAWA are among the most efficient in their class. They can provide cold/hot water, heat and cooling depending on the season. At the same time, they are CO2 neutral for the environment.

The heat source is ordinary air and water, and the only thing needed for their operation is electricity. But it is needed much less than any other energy resource (including electricity) to obtain the same result, but using other technologies.

Industrial heat pumps are able to provide heat and hot water to large buildings, apartment buildings, large production areas. And this without the use of fossil fuels (natural gas and coal). And this is very important in war conditions.

We are sincerely grateful to the Government of Japan, JICA and MAYEKAWA for financing and providing such equipment for some projects. Further scaling up such projects to install heat pumps will increase the energy efficiency of our economy and reduce dependence on natural gas. This is an important step towards our Victory.

As a reminder, on November 5, 2024, a seminar will be held “Implementation of heat pump technology
