The training course from Energy Club, “Communications and Interaction in Energy: Strategies for PR, Marketing, GR and Lobbying in Ukraine,” highlighted the importance of developing the communication potential of companies for their competitiveness and growth in the Ukrainian energy market.
This is evidenced by the feedback from graduates who will soon be awarded certificates. Specialists in PR, marketing, GR, and lobbying, who work at Energy Club member companies, gained knowledge and tools for effective work in Ukraine’s dynamic energy sector.
Oksana Makukh, Communications Director for the “Eko-Optima” Group of Companies, shared her impressions of the training with the Energy Club media department:
“I liked the course. It’s worth noting the high quality of organization and the involvement of experienced practitioners, as well as a systematic approach to covering the issues. In my opinion, the lectures could have been more frequent — for example, every other day, and a little longer, up to an hour and a half.”
“How new and relevant was the course information for you?”
“The information about lobbying was new; the rest was already familiar and in practice, but a deeper dive into the issues was nothing but a plus.”
“Which topics were most useful in your work?”
“Those about the energy sector, the market, changes, European integration, and legislation. I have enough experience in other topics. However, all the information received will be useful in solving the company’s practical tasks.”
“Were there enough examples and real cases?”
“Yes, but I would have removed cases from some topics that don’t correlate with domestic practice, specifically practices from countries that are foreign to us. I would have left only Ukrainian experience, and at most, that of leading countries on the topics mentioned—the USA, Canada, and Europe.”
“Which lectures or speakers were the most memorable?”
“I always enjoy listening to Olha Babiy; the lectures by Renata Iaresko, Maksym Asauliak, Olha Kamenets, and others were interesting. Yurii Boiko presents the material clearly. The speakers were competent, the materials and presentations were convenient, and the level of interactivity and interaction with the lecturers was completely satisfactory.”
“What topics would you like to explore in more depth in the future?”
“I think topics on communication with the international environment and stakeholders, and building trust, would be timely—given the adherence to principles and specific rules of the game. It would be useful to learn from leading experts how effective communication by energy companies can help in the reconstruction of Ukraine’s energy sector.”
“What other educational courses or training sessions from Energy Club would you be interested in?”
“Niche, short-term ones, lasting up to a month. For me personally, these would be: features of integrated communications during the war—with communities where facilities are located, and with media outside the energy sector.”
“As for the course ‘Communications and Interaction in the Energy Sector: Strategies for PR, Marketing, GR and Lobbying in Ukraine,’ I can confidently recommend it to colleagues and partners. Thank you, Energy Club, for the interesting and useful training.”
