Energy, Communications and Trust: Results of the Energy Club Training Course “Communications in Energy 2.0”

The Energy Club training course “Communications and Interaction in Energy: Strategies for PR, Marketing, GR and Lobbying in Ukraine” (2.0), which lasted from February to May 2026, has ended. This online course was developed for specialized specialists working in Energy Club member companies, with the aim of improving the professional competence of participants, providing them with knowledge and tools for effective work in the dynamic energy sector of Ukraine.

The course participants were representatives of Ukrgazvydobuvannya, Ukrhydroenergo, MHP PrJSC, Huawei Ukraine, Avellum, Schneider Electric, GEN-I, Elementum Energy, EDS, EMA LLC, Solar Steelconstruction LLC, Prykarpatenergotrade LLC, SK Energy Group LLC, ELAX PrJSC, VOLTAGE Group, NEC, Kaiser Projects Ukraine, VOK-Biztrade, Enpaselectro, AK Trade Group LLC, RSE s.r.o., Kramatorskteploenergo LLC.

25 energy industry specialists — PR managers, marketers, heads of communications departments, GR specialists, top managers, as well as directors of companies — attended 27 sessions with leading industry experts. The course lecturers were practitioners who directly influence the energy information field today. These include: Maksym Asaulyak (JSC “EKU”), Artem Petrenko (Association of Gas Extracting Companies), Anton Kovalyshyn (Corporation “Biosphere”), Oleksiy Hnatenko (Juscutum), Kateryna Braga (MADE (Kyiv-Vienna), Nataliya Korobenko (Elementum Energy Ukraine), Renata Yaresko (CommsTrue), Yaryna Skorokhod (DTEK), Yaroslav Demchenkov (JSC “Oschadbank”, HD Hyundai), Olena Postelnyak (Energy Club) and Olena Karpachova (Energy Club).

The course was a response to the challenges of the energy sector, such as: the complexity of the regulatory environment and European integration, the need for transparent communication on energy efficiency, renewable energy and decarbonization, managing stakeholder relations in conditions of public attention.

During the training, the course participants learned to analyze the structure of the energy market, regulatory requirements and policy trends; develop integrated communication strategies aligned with business goals; manage reputation and build trust with stakeholders; respond effectively to crisis situations (outages, accidents, cyberattacks); communicate ESG indicators in line with international standards; apply GR and ethical lobbying tools; implement B2B and B2C marketing strategies for energy products; use digital channels (SMM, SEO, content marketing) to reach audiences, and analyze data to assess the effectiveness of communications.

May 11, 2026 in Kyiv At the forum “Public Procurement of Electricity: Legal Certainty, Retrospective Risks and Energy Security” organized by the Energy Club business community, graduates of the online course “Communications and Interaction in Energy 2.0” Kseniya Lukyanets, Iryna Kasyanenko, Iryna Cheban and Maryan Vasylyshyn received their certificates. The remaining graduates received their certificates by mail.
