On June 12, the forum “Energy System in the Name of the Consumer: Voice of Industry for Energy Security and Technological Development” will start in Kyiv, organized by Energy Club with the aim of establishing a direct dialogue between energy professionals and industrialists.
Industrial enterprises are key to the economy of Ukraine and their effective operation directly depends on stable, affordable and high-quality energy supply. We strive for the development of the energy sector and support for its participants in the face of constant change.
In the face of geopolitical and economic challenges, the issue of energy security is becoming of paramount importance for Ukraine. However, the voice of the consumer, and especially the voice of a large industrial consumer, is often ignored in discussions of this topic.
Energy Club is holding a forum precisely to change this imbalance. The aim of the event is to hear directly from consumers who are key to the Ukrainian economy, their needs, problems and visions on how the energy sector can optimize its work to ensure their stable, safe and efficient operations.
The challenges, needs and solutions for energy supply to industry will be discussed, the role of the state in regulating relations between the energy sector and industry, the incentives needed to accelerate the transition of industry to “green” energy and the introduction of distributed generation, transparency and openness of the energy market for industrial consumers and attracting investments in energy modernization.
Two panel discussions with the participation of experts – energy specialists and industrialists and the collection of specific proposals and recommendations from industrial consumers on improving the work of the energy sector to deepen understanding of the problems and needs of the industry will be an important step in establishing dialogue and strengthening cooperation.
The forum will be attended by representatives of energy generating companies, transmission and distribution system operators, energy traders, construction companies in the energy sector, representatives of industrial enterprises of various industries from all regions of Ukraine, representatives of state bodies regulating the energy sector, energy market experts and analysts, and representatives of local governments.
Energy security is not only about energy production and transmission, but also about how energy works for those who consume it.
