A meeting of experts on fire protection of critical infrastructure facilities was held in Kyiv

Energy Club, the largest business community of energy companies in Ukraine, with the support of the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine, held a meeting on the topic “Latest technologies in fire protection for critical infrastructure facilities”.

The event brought together leading industry experts, government representatives and business to discuss current issues of fire protection in martial law and post-war reconstruction.

The meeting participants had the opportunity to get acquainted with advanced technologies in the field of fire protection, in particular with innovative solutions from the German company svt Products.

The discussion was moderated by Maksim Nemchynov, Vice President of Energy Club, former Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine. He began the meeting by outlining key issues regarding the quality, price and efficiency of fire protection systems, with particular emphasis on the importance of the economic part and transparency in choosing solutions.

Denys Lyubchenko, Director of IPVK “SPETSZAKHYST”, spoke about the company’s experience in the field of fire protection in Ukraine, in particular at critical infrastructure facilities. He emphasized the importance of transitioning to the priority use of passive protection systems, which, in his opinion, have shown their effectiveness in war conditions.

Alex Kim, representative of the German company svt Products, presented the company’s innovative technologies and products, which are successfully used at critical infrastructure facilities around the world, including well-known companies such as AIRBUS, Volkswagen AG, Siemens.

Roman Sovgyrya, Deputy Director of IPVK “SPETSZAKHYST”, spoke in detail about the technical aspects of passive security systems, in particular, about the importance of protecting external cable routes at critical infrastructure facilities. He gave examples of destruction caused by the spread of fire along cable routes and emphasized the need for comprehensive solutions.

Valeriy Bezus, Vice President of Energy Club, added to the discussion by drawing attention to the growing security risks associated not only with military operations, but also with climate change and infrastructure deterioration. He emphasized the importance of a comprehensive approach to fire safety issues and the need to modernize the regulatory framework taking into account modern challenges.

The experts emphasized the need for careful quality control of materials and work by customers, as well as the importance of cooperation with experienced licensed organizations.
