Gas-piston generation for business and critical infrastructure: Energy Club presents the POWER HUB KT-250GF

On July 31, Energy Club held a closed online meeting for member companies of the Club, “Gas-piston generation for business and critical infrastructure: hands-on presentation of the POWER HUB KT-250GF.” The event focused on the practical applications of modern gas-piston generator sets for backup, autonomous, and supplementary power supply to enterprises and critical infrastructure facilities.

The meeting was moderated by Artem Martyniuk — Vice President of Energy Club, Acting Director General of Ukrainian Distribution Networks JSC (August 2023 – September 2025).

The presentation was delivered by Illia Salikhov — representative of the POWER HUB project in Ukraine.

Participants were introduced to the POWER HUB KT-250GF gas-piston generator sets with a rated capacity of 250 kW, already available on the Ukrainian market. Ten such units, with a total installed capacity of 2.5 MW, are currently available to Ukrainian customers.

Illia Salikhov gave a detailed overview of the equipment’s technical and commercial parameters, its operating specifics, possible use cases, and the practical path from a customer inquiry to the delivery and commissioning of a generator set.

Who the solution is for

Particular attention was given to the practical application of gas-piston generation for industrial enterprises, critical infrastructure facilities, the agricultural sector, logistics complexes, commercial real estate, utility and municipal enterprises, and other consumers for whom uninterrupted power supply is critical.

Participants received answers on:

  • which facilities the POWER HUB KT-250GF units are most effective for;
  • what challenges gas-piston generation can solve for business and critical infrastructure;
  • the difference between using the unit as a backup power source versus as an element of autonomous generation;
  • how to scale up capacity by synchronizing several generator sets;
  • what requirements apply to the site, gas supply, connection, and operation;
  • what delivery, warranty, and service terms are provided;
  • how a prospective customer can properly prepare to implement their own distributed generation project.

Technical capabilities of the POWER HUB KT-250GF

The POWER HUB KT-250GF gas-piston unit has a rated electrical output of 250 kW, runs on natural gas with a methane content of at least 90%, features a three-phase design, and has automatic start/stop modes.

The equipment includes a DEIF AGC 150 control system, a CAMC HMT13F gas engine, and a Leroy-Somer TAL-A46-F alternator.

Also among the technical specifications:

  • electrical efficiency — up to 38%;
  • rated voltage — 400/230 V;
  • frequency — 50 Hz;
  • noise level — up to 76 dB at a distance of 7 meters;
  • generator set protection class — IP54;
  • remote monitoring and control of operating parameters;
  • warranty — 12 months or 8,000 engine hours;
  • service maintenance available in Ukraine.

The units are supplied in a soundproof canopy and can be used as standalone generation sources or combined via synchronization into higher-capacity power complexes.

Commercial terms

The delivery terms for the equipment are as follows. The cost of one POWER HUB KT-250GF gas-piston unit is €60,000, excluding VAT. This includes the soundproof canopy, loading, insurance, and delivery under the agreed terms.

Delivery basis — DAP, customs warehouse in Ukraine, per Incoterms 2020, with customs clearance of the equipment carried out separately.

Payment terms: 50% upon signing the contract; 50% upon the equipment being ready for shipment.

A practical dialogue with prospective customers

The event combined an equipment presentation with a Q&A session, during which representatives of Energy Club member companies received detailed clarification on technical specifications, delivery terms, operation, service support, and the implementation of their own generation projects.

The online meeting became another practical platform for Energy Club to exchange experience and present modern technological solutions that help Ukrainian business and critical infrastructure strengthen energy resilience and ensure continuity of operations amid today’s challenges.
