The Ukrainian energy market is increasingly moving towards decentralized solutions, industrial solar power plants and energy storage systems. In these conditions, the role of engineering companies is growing, capable of not just installing equipment, but creating a complex, reliable and long-term energy infrastructure for businesses and communities.
This is exactly the approach used by the Ukrainian engineering company Solar Garden (Solar Garden) — an EPC contractor with over 10 years of experience in implementing large-scale projects in the field of renewable energy and energy storage systems.
We talk about the company’s key areas of work, implemented projects, strategic priorities and vision of the role of business in increasing the sustainability of the Ukrainian energy system with Olga Slyshynska, Head of Sales at Solar Garden LLC.
– Ms. Olga, what is the main activity of Solar Garden today?
– Solar Garden is a leading EPC contractor specializing in large-scale energy solutions for business and the state. We work in the industrial and distributed generation segment. Our expertise covers the full cycle: from the design and construction of large industrial solar power plants to the implementation of intelligent hybrid systems (solar power plants + solar power plants). We don’t just install panels, we create a complex energy infrastructure that works as a stable asset for decades.
– What projects or solutions implemented recently do you consider the most successful?
– We are proud of the successful commissioning of several industrial solar power plants with UZE, which provide significant capacity for the Ukrainian power system. The following projects can undoubtedly be distinguished:
– What does the company plan to focus on in the next 1–3 years?
– Our strategic focus is the development of industrial decentralized generation. We plan to scale up the construction of large solar power plants for enterprises and develop the direction of industrial Energy Storage (USG). We are also actively working on the implementation of Smart Grid technologies for managing combined generation and storage capacities to ensure maximum efficiency of each megawatt.
– Why did you decide to join Energy Club? What was decisive for you in this decision?
– Energy Club is a community of leading companies in the energy sector. It is important for Solar Garden to be in the circle of professionals who understand the global challenges of the industry, make their own changes that are extremely important in our time, and work on the strategic development of the energy market of Ukraine.
– Have you had previous contacts or joint projects with Club members? If so, what was your experience?
– Yes, we constantly interact with Club members — manufacturers of electrical equipment, developers, and law firms. Membership in the Club will allow us to systematize this cooperation and establish even more communications with leading companies in the energy industry.
– What practical benefits do you expect to receive from membership in the Energy Club?
– We are counting on high-quality synergy with other members. It is important for us to be part of a professional lobby that promotes the development of industrial renewable energy and modern energy storage systems as the foundation of the country’s energy security. Our company participates in the largest energy forums in the country and we want to attend even more Energy Club events in the future.
– What problems or issues in the work of the company or the industry in general do you hope to discuss or resolve within the Club?
– The most pressing issues are the development of the market for ancillary services for industrial renewable energy sources, simplifying the procedures for connecting large generation facilities to the grid, and creating transparent investment instruments for the reconstruction of the energy sector.
– How exactly does your company plan to participate in the work Energy Club: events, working groups, joint initiatives?
– We are ready to become an active contributor in working groups related to industrial generation and solar energy. Solar Garden has significant technical experience that we are ready to share for the development of industry standards and technical regulations.
– What formats of cooperation are most useful for you: exchange of experience, search for partners, common position on regulatory issues, analytics?
– We consider the format of strategic sessions and B2B meetings to be the most useful. This allows you to quickly find common ground with other market players — from financial institutions to network operators.
– How do you see the role of business — and your company in particular — in increasing the sustainability of the energy sector in the current environment?
– We see the role of business in the transition from passive consumption to active participation in the market. Solar Garden helps large enterprises become active players — to build their own powerful solar power plants and solar power plants, which not only covers their needs, but also helps balance the entire energy system of the country.
– What joint actions or initiatives of the Energy Club could be most useful for the industry right now?
– An initiative to create regional energy hubs based on industrial enterprises. Also extremely important is joint work on attracting international financing for “Green Transition” projects in industry.
– What would you like to say or wish to your Energy Club colleagues and potential partners?
– We wish all partners courage in implementing new technologies. Our main goal now is sustainable energy independence of Ukraine.
It is important to emphasize: Solar Garden is not just about installing equipment. It is about responsible engineering of large facilities. We are ready for the most difficult challenges in the construction of industrial solar power plants and energy storage systems, guaranteeing quality at every stage of the EPC contract.
Solar Garden consistently forms a new culture of industrial energy in Ukraine, where solar generation and energy storage systems are considered not as an add-on, but as a strategic infrastructure asset. Experience in implementing complex EPC projects, working with large capacities and focusing on long-term efficiency allow the company to take responsibility for the most complex engineering solutions.
In combination with active participation in the Energy Club, this forms a platform for the development of industrial renewable energy, the implementation of modern standards and strengthening the energy independence of Ukraine precisely where business becomes a full-fledged participant in the energy market.
