Nearly a thousand cyclists from across Ukraine gathered in Lutsk last weekend for the traditional “Veloden 2025” cycling event. Athletes joined an important charitable mission: raising funds for the 100th Separate Mechanized Brigade. The Tolk Group of Companies fielded one of the largest teams for the bike ride and was also a partner of the event.
Professionals and sports enthusiasts, children of all ages, families, and entire teams from various institutions and companies participated in the large-scale cycling event in the Volyn regional center. The Tolk Group of Companies, which has previously participated in sports events organized to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine, once again presented a large team of 65 participants from Kyiv, Uzhhorod, Zhytomyr, Kryvyi Rih, Lutsk, Kovel, and Manevychi. Employees and their families rode through the central streets of the city in branded gear, demonstrating unity and team spirit.
“Easy pedals!” – these calls echoed from all sides that day, and as Iryna Beresnyeva, Director of Tolk Ukraine LLC, noted, the day gave all participants an ocean of emotions, but first and foremost, a sense of unity, resilience, and invincibility: “This day is not just a cycling event. This day is about sports, about unity, about energy, about us coming together to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine, because that is the most important thing today.”
Hundreds of proponents of a healthy lifestyle, active recreation, and eco-friendly transport joined a noble cause that day: raising funds for a Matrix drone for the 100th Separate Mechanized Brigade. The Tolk Group of Companies decided to make another contribution to supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine by purchasing a modern exercise bike for the Medical Center for Rehabilitation of Combatants of the Lutsk City Territorial Community “Advance Center.”
“We hope that this exercise bike will contribute to the fastest recovery of our defenders and veterans, and we believe that they will feel our care and attention,” added Oksana Hentish, Director of Volynelektrozbut LLC (Tolk).
This exercise bike will be in high demand at the rehabilitation center, as there is significant need for rehabilitation services, noted Ihor Hnetnyov, Director of the communal enterprise “Medical Center for Rehabilitation of Combatants of the Lutsk City Territorial Community”:
“Every day, our specialists serve up to 400-450 people, so another exercise machine is another opportunity that increases both our capacity and patients’ access to the type of rehabilitation they need. Many thanks to the company for thinking of people!”
During the bike ride, Iryna Beresnyeva and Oksana Hentish presented the documents for the exercise machine to Alona Cherkavska, head of the medical center’s rehabilitation department.
The event was organized by the Lutsk City Council, the Department of Youth and Sports of the Lutsk City Council, and the Lutsk City Cyclists Association.
The Tolk Group of Companies recently participated in the Uzhhorod Half Marathon 2025 in Uzhhorod, during which 3.4 million hryvnias were raised for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
