The Uzhhorod Half Marathon 2026 charity race recently took place in Uzhhorod, bringing together over a thousand participants from various regions of Ukraine. Tolk Group served as an official partner of the event and, following its tradition, became the most numerous team in the race. Together, the Group’s employees covered more than 200 kilometers and donated over UAH 115,000 to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).
The event, held this Sunday in Uzhhorod, united more than a thousand participants from all over Ukraine — both professional athletes and amateurs. They ran for a common goal: supporting the Ukrainian military. For the second consecutive year, the Tolk Group team joined the race, showing significant growth — from 60 participants last year to 112 this year. Participants from TOLK UKRAINE LLC, VOLYNELECTROZBUT LLC, and ZAKARPATTYAENERGOZBUT LLC all took part in the half marathon.
According to Iryna Beresnieva, General Director of TOLK UKRAINE LLC, social responsibility for Tolk is not just a slogan, but a daily commitment.
“We actively join initiatives to support the AFU because it is thanks to our defenders that we have the opportunity to live, work, and grow. The Tolk team consists of people who bring light both in a literal and symbolic sense. Today, as we gathered from all corners of Ukraine — Kyiv, Uzhhorod, Lutsk, Zhytomyr, Mukachevo, Kovel, Volodymyr, Vynohradiv, as well as the Kherson, Sumy, and Dnipropetrovsk regions — we are united by the most important thing: faith in victory and the readiness to act for its sake,” emphasizes the General Director of TOLK UKRAINE LLC.
According to Iryna Beresnieva, the Tolk team participated in almost all distances: some completed the full half marathon, others ran 10 km, while the majority took part in the 2 km run. “Tolk” representatives also competed in the relay race, and, as per tradition, children of the employees joined the junior runs.
Yurii Fedko, Director of ZAKARPATTYAENERGOZBUT LLC, noted that those tackling long distances prepared well in advance. Many team members were participating for the second time, eager to unite for Ukraine’s victory:
“It is incredibly gratifying when your team consists of true like-minded people. We work together not only on daily business tasks but also participate in events like this — be it a marathon, climbing Mount Hoverla, or a joint blood donation for the needs of hospitals. Teamwork is a real drive!”
Oksana Gentish, Director of VOLYNELECTROZBUT LLC, added that the Tolk team collectively covered over 200 km and contributed more than UAH 115,000 to the AFU:
“For us, it’s not about the numbers; it’s about the people and the team. Every distance is about endurance, unity, and our collective strength. It’s in these moments that you feel the true team spirit — supporting and inspiring each other to move forward.”
According to the organizers, all funds raised during the half marathon — over UAH 2 million — will be directed to support units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including the 101st Territorial Defense Brigade, the 155th Separate Mechanized Brigade, and the “Stuhna” special unit. The proceeds will be used to purchase pickup trucks, Starlink systems, and other essential equipment.
The Uzhhorod race is part of the Transcarpathian Grand Run series, which connects several cities in the region and concludes with a marathon in Khust. Last year, this series managed to raise nearly UAH 13.5 million to support the Ukrainian military.
