On June 20, 2026, the energy community of Ukraine united again on the football field – the seventh charity tournament ENERGY CUP-2026, organized annually by Energy Club, took place in Kyiv. The event traditionally combines sports, informal communication of representatives of energy companies and the main goal – raising funds to support the Defense Forces of Ukraine, this time for the K-2 regiment.
Among the tournament participants for the first time was the team of LTD “Trade House Tekhkomplekt” – a Ukrainian manufacturer of special equipment, which has been working with energy, municipal and state structures for many years. The company’s debut became part of the broader presence of Ukrainian industrial business in Energy Club initiatives and emphasized the role of manufacturers in supporting the country’s defense capability.
In their interview, the Techkomplekt team noted the atmosphere of the tournament, the different levels of team training, and the importance of informal communication and the charitable component of the event, as well as drawing attention to certain organizational aspects.
What were your impressions of ENERGY CUP 2026 — organization, atmosphere, level of teams?
The organization was a bit chaotic regarding the geolocation of the tournament venue, which is not convenient for non-Kyiv residents. The atmosphere of the game was very lively. Regarding the level of the teams, there were significant differences between players with a lot of experience and those who had no preparation for the tournament and played more for fun.
What was most important for your team in this tournament: sports results, team interaction, communication with colleagues from the market or a charitable goal?
The biggest achievement for us was the lively atmosphere, team interaction and additional team building, and, of course, the charitable component of this event.
How do you assess the level of play this year? Did it feel like the teams were preparing seriously?
Regarding the preparation of some tournament participants, it was obvious at first glance. Technical behavior on the field, – “experienced play”, good physical fitness. Unfortunately, we cannot compare with last year’s tournaments, as we did not participate in them.
What moment of the tournament was most memorable for your team?
First of all, the team’s own game in the tournament group, the feeling of sportsmanship and the desire to win.
This year’s tournament is aimed at supporting the K-2 regiment. How important is it for your company to join such initiatives of the energy community?
Today, many of our employees perform tasks related to the defense of the state in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in various units and directions. It is simply impossible to measure the importance of their support by certain parameters or criteria. In addition, our company also performs tasks in the defense direction.
Do you plan to participate in the next Energy Cup tournaments and what, in your opinion, could be added or improved in the future?
In our opinion, such tournaments are very important even in today’s difficult times. As for improvements and suggestions, we have no experience from the first tournament yet.
Despite some organizational nuances, the “Techkomplekt” team emphasizes that the ENERGY CUP format has important value for both the business community and for supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine. They view participation in the tournament as an experience of team interaction and an opportunity to join joint charitable initiatives in the energy market, noting the importance of such events in modern conditions.
