Charity football tournaments organized by Energy Club have already become a tradition for Ukraine’s energy community, uniting sports with tangible aid for the Armed Forces. This year, Energy Club is preparing Energy Cup 2026 to support the legendary K-2 unit — the 20th Separate Unmanned Systems Brigade under the command of Hero of Ukraine, Lieutenant Colonel Kyrylo Veres.
Among the regular participants of these competitions is the Vector VS team, for whom participation is not a mere formality but a conscious stance.
Nadiia Biliavtseva, Marketing Director of Vector VS, spoke in an interview with the Energy Club media department about why the Energy Cup is primarily about values rather than sporting results, how the team is formed, and what corporate unity truly means during wartime. She shared her vision of business’s role in supporting the Armed Forces, the company’s experience in charitable initiatives, and the emotions and conclusions left behind by a tournament where the ultimate victory is a collective one.
— Ms. Nadiia, what was the catalyst for your company to join the Energy Cup – Spring 2025 tournament? What is the key meaning of this participation for you?
— For Vector VS, participating in the Energy Cup was a completely natural step. We work in the energy sector and understand well that today, energy is not just about kilowatts, but about the strength of the people who sustain the country. The catalyst was the desire to be part of a good cause where sports, the professional community, and charity unite to support our defenders. The key meaning for us is not the result of the match, but the sense of involvement in providing real help to the Armed Forces and the sincere realization that every step we take, every participation, matters.
— How important are team spirit and corporate unity in such initiatives?
— In initiatives like these, team spirit is the heart of the entire process. On the field, as in life, it is important to feel a reliable shoulder next to you, support, and a common goal. Energy Cup very clearly demonstrates how corporate unity transforms into real strength—when people from different departments, roles, and personalities become one single team. These emotions unite, inspire, and stay with us for a long time, transitioning from the football pitch into our daily work.
— How do you evaluate the level of organization of the Energy Cup and the role of Energy Club in developing charitable sports projects?
— The organization of the Energy Cup left a very warm and professional impression. It was evident that every detail was thought through with respect for the participants and an understanding of the main goal of the event. Energy Club performs a vital role—it doesn’t just organize a tournament; it creates a space for trust, interaction, and shared responsibility. It is exactly these kinds of initiatives that shape a culture of charity within the business environment and show how sports can be a powerful tool for supporting the army.
— How is the team formed in your company—is it an initiative of the employees or a management decision?
— Participation in such tournaments at Vector VS always starts with the initiative of the employees themselves. It is a sincere desire of the people to get involved, take to the field together, and contribute to a collective charitable cause. This is very valuable to us because such an initiative speaks of a living, engaged team, and it is 100% supported and facilitated by the company owner. Vector VS has a clear position: if the team wants to be useful to the country and the army, the company creates all the conditions for this. Therefore, participating in the tournament is not a formality but a conscious collective step where the values of the people and the values of the business align. It is this partnership between the team and the owner that transforms a sporting event into a true manifestation of unity and responsibility.
— What support does the enterprise currently provide to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and why do you consider this assistance fundamentally important?
— Vector VS systematically supports the Armed Forces of Ukraine through financial aid, participation in charitable initiatives, partnership projects, and targeted fundraising. For us, these are not one-off actions, but a consistent position that has continued since the first days of the full-scale war. At the same time, we consciously do not view charity as a PR tool. For Vector VS, helping the army is a standard civic and business responsibility, as basic as honest work, paying taxes, or caring for the team. We do not make loud announcements about it, as we are convinced that true support needs no extra words. The most important thing for us is the result of this help. Our defenders protect the country every day, allowing businesses to operate and people to live and plan for the future. Being a reliable rear for them is our conscious choice and principle.
— What emotions and conclusions remained after participating in the Energy Cup – Spring 2025?
— After the tournament, we were left with very strong and positive emotions. Above all—pride in our team and gratitude for the opportunity to be part of such an important charitable event. Yes, we met strong, experienced opponents on the field and did not take home any prizes, but for us, this was not a defeat. On the contrary, participating in the Energy Cup was a great experience. It was honest, high-energy football, new acquaintances, an exchange of energy, and a sense of true sporting spirit. Most importantly, it was the realization that everyone was playing for a victory much larger than the tournament standings. It is these kinds of events that leave behind not a score, but meaning and inspiration to move forward.
— Do you plan to participate in the Energy Cup 2026 tournament?
— Yes, without a doubt. We plan to participate in Energy Cup 2026 and already view it not just as a sporting event, but as an opportunity to unite again around a common, vital goal. For the Vector VS team, it is a chance to take to the field with an open heart, support our defenders, and once again feel the strength of unity within Ukraine’s energy community. We sincerely believe that such initiatives inspire not only the participants but everyone observing from the outside. They show that every company, every team, can make a contribution—through sports, partnership, or charity. And the more of us there are, the stronger this collective energy of support will become. Energy Cup is more than a tournament. It is about people, values, and the future we are building together. We will be happy to become part of this story again and invite others to join us.
