Six Teams, One Goal: Energoatom at ENERGY CUP - Spring 2025

30.04.2025

Six teams from the National Nuclear Energy Generating Company “Energoatom” have registered to participate in the ENERGY CUP – Spring 2025 charity football tournament: the Directorate of JSC “NAEC Energoatom” and the separate units “Zaporizhzhia NPP”, “Rivne NPP”, “South-Ukraine NPP”, “Khmelnytskyi NPP”, and the “Emergency and Technical Center” of JSC “NAEC Energoatom”.

The football competition among teams from Ukraine’s leading energy companies will take place on June 7, 2025, in Kyiv. For the sixth time, the ENERGY CUP will bring together professionals from the energy sector for the common purpose of assisting the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and strengthening partnerships.

Traditionally, all nuclear power plants of Ukraine participate in the ENERGY CUP tournaments. The management and trade union organization of NAEC Energoatom support all initiatives related to sports development and aid to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The motivating factor for the teams is not only charity but also active leisure, informal communication, team spirit, the opportunity to prove themselves, and to improve the level of the football teams, which then participate in other competitions and win prizes.

Currently, there are two clear leaders in the ENERGY CUP – the teams from the South-Ukraine NPP and Khmelnytskyi NPP. Last year, the Khmelnytskyi team emerged victorious. Therefore, this year’s competition promises to be very fierce.

The teams consist not of professional players, but of employees from energy companies and enterprises – ranging from managers to workers. They are cohesive, well-coordinated, and train regularly.

Of course, every team dreams of winning, but the main thing is participation, good spirits, and fundraising for the needs of our defenders.

We remind you: the sixth charity football tournament ENERGY CUP – Spring 2025 will take place on June 7 in Kyiv. Team registration is ongoing. Join us!

Since 2022, the ENERGY CUP has regularly gathered teams from the country’s leading energy enterprises on the football field. The competition unites professionals for the purpose of raising funds for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, allowing representatives of energy companies to meet personally, communicate informally, exchange professional experience, and establish relationships for future cooperation.
