Iryna Beresnieva, CEO of TOLK UKRAINE LLC, told EnergoBusiness magazine about how one of Ukraine’s largest integrated suppliers of gas and electricity, TOLK Group of Companies, operates harmoniously and stably despite the crisis and war.
— How does TOLK Ukraine work in wartime?
— TOLK Ukraine works in wartime in a coordinated, stable and winning manner. The beginning of a full-scale war, like for many Ukrainian companies, was very difficult for us. But we were able to ensure a stable supply of electricity for our consumers and maintain the trust of our customers. Even in the conditions of electricity shortages, infrastructure destruction, unstable operation of the power system and outages throughout Ukraine, we continue to accumulate a client portfolio and always remain a reliable support for our consumers. Today, Tolk Ukraine is a company that was able to cope – I will not be afraid of these words – with almost all the challenges brought by the war.
— During 2024, many energy supply companies had, so to speak, “friction” with the National Commission for the Control of Energy and Utilities of Ukraine and Ukrenergo. What problems remained by the end of the year, and which ones were resolved?
– Tolk Ukraine is a company that has no “friction” with any of the above or other energy market structures, because we are always ready for dialogue and mutual understanding. Therefore, we do not need to solve this problem.
— The obligatory question these days is: how do you help defend Ukraine?
— The defense of Ukraine is above all else today. Our company constantly provides charitable assistance, directing funds to support the military and victims who have lost their homes or loved ones. I consider it incorrect to provide more detailed information.
— What are the plans for further development?
— Tolk Ukraine is constantly in the process of development and improvement. The main vector is focused on improving services for our consumers, where digitalization is a key direction for optimizing business processes. We pay special attention to improving the professional skills of our incredible staff, because perfection has no limits.
Among the important areas of development are also the expansion of the geography of energy supply and the increase in the consumer portfolio. We never stop and always set ourselves extremely difficult tasks to simplify and facilitate the lives of our consumer partners.
