About the speaker Dr. Michel Verschuere has twenty years of experience in the liberalized energy market in Belgium, Germany and Austria. He experienced the strong growth of wind and solar energy in Flanders first-hand in the wholesale sector.
About the company YUSO is a renewable energy supplier and aggregator of flexible electrical applications such as battery storage systems and smart charging stations. The YUSO B2B platform offers more than two thousand industrial producers of green energy and consumers access to the Belgian electricity market. YUSO has been familiar with operating a large-scale battery in the Netherlands since 2016. The company also developed large scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) in Belgium and the United Kingdom and acts as a Route-to-Market provider for these. With the advent of renewable energy, YUSO strongly focused on meteorological forecasting, automated portfolio management based on Artificial Intelligence and Big Data and developed the necessary IT infrastructure for its activities completely in-house.
